I've always loved that Blanchflower quote but I think it's a bit of a misinterpretation to suggest he thought winning was unimportant. I've always read it more like it's not enough to win games by putting 10 men behind the ball, you have to win games by going out and beating the other lot. Look at the team he played for, the importance of winning in the minds of those players can surely be taken for granted.

Yeah this is basically it. Neutrals probably loved the Chelsea and Liverpool games. Hilarious fun. Can’t say I enjoyed it. Can’t say I felt like we even put together much sexy football. Couple of moments was about it. The majority of it was painful.
Entertainment is subjective I guess. If some of our fans are entertained by this then have at it. But the citing of dramatic quotes as if we’re playing football in some purist fashion but just not getting results feels dishonest at best.
