He's a crap football manager. So many decisions of his are bad. You seem to have decided that because the cycle is a thing and because we have fundamental issues at board level, we can't also focus criticism on the coach. Many coaches have done better here under the same circumstances.

Of course the board are shit but they aren't going anywhere today or tomorrow. This guy is dragging us way below our natural level, even considering the guys at board level.
Fuck Ange. Criticize away. Fuck Son and Johnson for the nice boy soft shit they served up tonight. Fuck Ange for picking them.

Doesn’t change the core problem of this football club

Let's be honest

Craggy Island Rovers would be a step up from us right now

Craggy Island Rovers could beat us 6-2 at WHL and there would still be fans on the Ange train blaming injuries

I never understand why some fans feel this emotional attachment to managers that they do not feel towards any other personnel of the club, including players themselves.

They have no problem asking for a total overhaul of the squad, demanding this or that player to be gone ASAP. They don't worry about who would replace these players. They don't feel any sort of guilt over asking for a "player-merry-go-round" . They don't see any virtue in sticking with players that are vastly underperforming. It's the polar opposite of the attitude they take towards managers. Even towards the ones like Ange who never achieved anything to earn that kind of 'loyalty'.

It would make sense for, let's say, a United fan to be especially lenient towards managers because they have fond memories of one man managing the club for decades. But other than that, what's the point? What's the point of choosing a guy that you probably didn't even know existed 1.5 years ago as your hill to die on?
There's no emotion attached.
They're just hopelessly brainwashed to believe time cures problems.

He's gone mate. He basically publicly said fuck you to the board. I think his contract is ticking as well, a stroppy, angry South American being forced to stay at the club isn't good for anybody. May not be Madrid anymore but I'm sure someone reasonably sized would take him - his rep on the continent is likely very good.
Romero is doing what we all knew he would do and what any sensible, career focused player should do.

He can earn more and win more somewhere else. He will get his move and go on to have a great career.

His irritation at questions in the press conference becomes more and more baffling the more you think about it. Because the truth is, he's been treated by the press, the fans and the club pretty delicately. In fact I can't think of another premier league manager, who only has to do the bare minimum or below to get their belly tickled like he does.

Whenever we get in any way embarrassed by a performance, the club are quick to put out that he is under "no pressure". Which is absurd that any manager can be under "no pressure" let alone after our form for the last 10 months.

We pull it back to 5-2 on Sunday and he gets his name sung.

Compare that to Lopetegui. Who only arrived in the summer at West Ham and had to try and put a new team together on the fly. He's been getting dogs abuse from the fans and the press and always feel like he's one loss away from the sack.... That'd be the Lopetegui whose team is now level on points with us.
He's desperately trying to hold on to his job. Pulled out a ridiculous 'my funny accent' card- give me a break, if English wasn't his first language he'd be long gone.
Now he keeps saying 'player X almost ready and trains but I can't risk any more injuries' to cover his VDV/Romero fuck up and act like it's not him running them down to the ground.
There's been red flags all along but now any fool can call him on his bullshit.

Meh, Romero is 100% off in the summer ( we aren't playing european football next season) so I really don't see the point in planning for a back 3.

In no world is Dragusin worth forcing in to a team anyway. Guy is limited on the ball and not quick, the antithesis of what most elite sides want.
Dragusin agent as well made out he was some kind of beckenbauer when he werent playing. Propaganda at its finest.

Nagelsmann is a pipe dream under these owners as well mate.

None of those 3 you mentioned last longer than 18 months here. I hope for Iraolas sake he swerves the Levy conveyor belt

Lol, these kinds of comments are just completely idiotic mate.

No one fucking signs a contract to manage someone at this level without knowing what you're getting yourself into. If he signs, he gets paid a fuck tonne and he knows the situation.

I will never feel sorry for any of these millionaires for not getting a player they wanted or some other bullshit.

The funny accent digs are aimed at Liew and he has every right to make them.

Other than that, I agree tbh, he’s not getting half the shit other managers have because he’s kept a decent rapport with the media
