I, like many on here, know next to nothing about setting up a professional football team, but I am very confident I could get one to score a goal against us. We make the same mistakes all the time and give up the same chances game after game. Every goal our defenders are either running back towards the goal like Forest.

or there are multiple players on a back post v one defender to put the ball in the back of the net.

And clips like this is why I do not have sympathy for the manager in regards to our centre back injury situation. It doesn't matter if you have prime Baresi and Beckenbauer. They cannot cope with the midfield disintegrating in front of them allowing essentially the entire opposition attack to charge at them. It's why our record is piss poor these whole last 7 months even before any real injury issues with 2 very good centre backs in Romero and VDV.

I think he should have been sacked already mate, you’re preaching to the choir.

I have no idea how this man is still employed at this football club, the Forest loss should have been the nail in the coffin.

It doesn’t even make sense letting him stay until the cup game because if he wins that by some absolute miracle but continues to lose in the league, does that mean we still keep him here?

Sacking him is the only logical move now imo.
Yeah, i know.

I do worry that he hasn't been sacked because doing well on the pitch is no longer the priority.

We also drew to Leicester with full team and lost to bar codes who hadn’t started season too good.
Thought them performances were very good though. Prob should have beaten both Leicester and Newcastle comfortably. Romero mistakes gave them soft goals. We absolutely dominated both games. With a full team available we've been the best team in every game we've played IMO. Its only really the past month where we've started to play poorly

Nah, both were competitive games in terms of chance creation. People overrate our performances because we press well & see a lot of the ball. In a lot of these games we failed to create meaningful stuff and gave up a similar amount of chances.

Long term decision. Sacking him now with no real plan is just a much bigger mess. We have no fit centre backs atm so no manager is going to come in and quickly get us results. Until we get our players back then we are a midtable team at best.

Best to just let Ange ride out this spell of injuries and see where we are come May. Tthen make the correct calculated decision when you have more evidence of exactly where we are in this rebuild. Sacking him now and gambling on a free agent like Potter could risk everything... If we are replacing Ange then lets make sure we get the right man (Iraolo) in for next season

After 1st leg liverpool loss (having also lost to wolves and newcastle)

Knowing baldcunt, that's the timing.

Fair. Can't argue with them stats. I just remember watching both games and came away frustrated with the result but happy with the performances and at the time I was convinced we would have a big season. It had become a frustrating theme where we'd dominate teams, not take our chances and then give up a stupid goal. I was hoping we'd mature out of that eventually but with all the injuries everything just got worse. I can see why so many want him gone but for me, I want to see us get our players back before judging him. Mainly because I don't see the long term vision in sacking him mid season so feel like its worth just hanging on for now and seeing exactly where we end up.

See where we are come MAY? You cannot honestly be suggesting we keep him for the season if our current form continues surely?

If we already have a full time manager to replace Ange, then the best time is to get him in now, so that he can get in 2/3 players in the coming TW to steady the ship until the summer, when he can replace more players in the squad

I probably would as things stand. I wouldn't sack him and bring in a new manager while we have around 8 players injured. Its too much of a mess for anyone to come into. I'd wait it out and see how we look once VDV and Romero are back.

Its much easier to make the correct calculated decision when the season is over and we have all the evidence we need to see exactly where we are in this rebuild /project. Doing something kneejerk in the middle of the season while we have a game every 3 days and are missing anywhere between 7-11 players most games, is just too kneejerk for me. Its short term thinking looking for some quick relief but has the potential to set us back years if we get it wrong! We need to get the next managerial position right and need to know exactly where we are at before hiring someone.

Feels like it’s every few days where we say if he loses the next game he will be gone. But it really must be coming to a head now. He can’t survive a loss but I don’t get what we are waiting for. Even if he wins he should get sacked, because it is clear he isn’t the person to get behind.

If we lost tomorrow to a rejuvenated Wolves team, and by the way I really can see us losing, then Ange has nowhere to go. His position would be totally untenable. Wolves have a decent recent record at our stadium, and I really can see a defeat with the way we are playing.

It’s just a matter of when not if now, so better to just make the change now.

I would go all out for Iraola. Southgate and Potter would be awful hires. And if we went for Ange to Southgate it would be a clear sign that Lange and Levy are total clowns. Although I have no doubt Southgate can do a better job than Ange, the football would be dour. Potter looks increasingly average as time goes by and no thanks on more Chelsea rejects.

It simply has to be Iraola which is why it probably won’t be because you just know the club will fk up the decision. These are the same people who appointed Ange in the first place. Literally the worst manage we’ve had in decades.

If all the pundits and ex players can see it, how can the board and an increasingly dwindling and deluded portion of the fan base not see it?

We made a massive gamble on this guy and it’s been a disaster. Well done Levy and Munn. Now just right your mistake please now.

I think this narrative that he's going to be sacked any day now has come solely from this thread and people backing up eachother's views. All the word coming from anyone within the club is that they've no intention of sacking Ange mid season and might even back him in January with more players

I must be the only one who feels like he's about 10 games away from the sack lol

I personally think there are 2 things that are keeping him in right now

Injuries
Form, particularly in the cups

Also we will see what we do in Jan, whatever they provide for him needs to give us an immediate upturn in results.

If we are plateauing like this going well in the 2nd half of the season then bye bye but it sounds to me like the board are completely relaxed and will give him more time.

I don't even believe the majority of people want the manager gone anyway, there's a large element of the online fans who've had enough but it's not translating to the stadium whatsoever.
