Just been on a Chelsea fan site.
They want the manager sacked. Totally unacceptable to lose to Ipswich and Fulham.
They all want Ange to manage them because he got a point against Fulham.

Johnson post match said they are giving everything. So players are playing for him. Seems to me ange instructions arent working though. Injury situation is beyond a joke. Must be something to do with that. Crap training or too intense in demands. Im gutted where we are in the table.

These players have played back to back since November, they're physically fucked you can see it.

Ange apologists are using this as a means of defence for him at the moment but I see it as even more damning, there's not even the excuse that the players aren't buying into the way they're being asked to play which was something we heard a lot about Conte in his 2nd season; Ange is just woefully out of depth and tactically mismatched against the greater minds of this league, and even some of the lesser ones as well..

AVB is different because the team had clearly stopped playing for him hence why Tim came in, if that happens to Ange and the players simply give up he is gone and Wells/Mason takes over till summer. We got Poch in the summer which was the right call but that’s the summer, this isn’t the summer. Our squad is bare, it’s light, injured and knackered. It needs reinforcements more than anything else, our front line has no balance player wise and our defence has an 18 year old. That won’t change with a new manager. This January window is huge for us as we need a squad that can handle multiple competitions and any replacement for Ange will need it just as much. The options to replace Ange look weak as fuck which compounds the issue.
Eh - we were shit before the injuries stacked up. I find that to be a weak excuse. Ange has been terrible for 13 calendar months on the trot - this isn't a recent happening.

Anyway, like I said, poll results like those we're discussing indicate to me that he'll keep his job so long as we're in the EL at least. So I'm done wasting energy, on the manager topic and, likely, Spurs. Because we're just getting more of the same until the fraud is sacked.

League campaign is more or less settled no matter who finishes the season.

CL is a pipedream, while relegation battle is not a realistic threat unless all of the teams below start picking up huge amounts of points out of nowhere. Difference between finishing 7th versus 13th indeed matters to a certain degree but, with how congested the table still is, I wouldn't blame them for hoping that team will start climbing the ladders by going on a run at some point, regardless of the manager.

In a sense he's fortunate with how those 2 LC matches are scheduled. The first leg is around the corner, so the chances of him getting that match is really high regardless of the terrible spell we're in right now. And if he indeed gets a favourable result, he will probably get that one month period until the second leg as well.

If we go on a run of some sort in between these two matches, even if due to sheer regression to the mean without anything specific Ange does, he'll suddenly find himself challenging for a EL spot while also possibly progressing on 3 cups. He'll be quite safe then.

If that first leg goes horribly wrong, and/or EL campaign flops, then he most likely won't finish the season. I don't like his chances, but he still has a glimmer of hope.

No European football is terrible for this club.

I have seen nothing in our EL campaign to say we are anywhere near winning it

The players are buying into it, they just aren't good enough to execute it :ange-bored2::ange-facepalm:

Why on earth does he not trust some youngsters. Lankshear for Solanke, Dorrington at the back with Dragusin and put Gray in midfield . Bergval instead of Dejan. The guy is clueless, overplaying the same ones and risking injury.
May as well if we truly our a youth project. However I don’t think we are. We are never gonna give players like Devine, donley, dorrington or any of the others a chance. Moore may get a chance as there has been so much publicity about him. We also have Phillips to come back plus the croation. That is 3 young CBs plus what we have already and potentially any incomings. What chance will the younger ones get?

Arse also progressively got better under a young manager learning the ropes.
We have an old git at the end of his underwhelming career making us as bad as we have been in the ENIC era.

Yet STILL people use Arteta as an example of why we should give this useless coach more time.
Coaches should earn time, not be given it.
This guy is nearly 60.
Been a manager for 25 years yet don’t see any experience or knowledge he brings to the job. Surely he must have played without a some players in his time.
