League campaign is more or less settled no matter who finishes the season.
CL is a pipedream, while relegation battle is not a realistic threat unless all of the teams below start picking up huge amounts of points out of nowhere. Difference between finishing 7th versus 13th indeed matters to a certain degree but, with how congested the table still is, I wouldn't blame them for hoping that team will start climbing the ladders by going on a run at some point, regardless of the manager.
In a sense he's fortunate with how those 2 LC matches are scheduled. The first leg is around the corner, so the chances of him getting that match is really high regardless of the terrible spell we're in right now. And if he indeed gets a favourable result, he will probably get that one month period until the second leg as well.
If we go on a run of some sort in between these two matches, even if due to sheer regression to the mean without anything specific Ange does, he'll suddenly find himself challenging for EL while also possibly progressing on 3 cups. He'll be quite safe then.
If that first leg goes horribly wrong, and/or EL campaign flops, then he most likely won't finish the season. I don't like his chances, but he still has a glimmer of hope.
