Ange has been good for 10 games at the start. Since then it's been a downward trajectory and he's had 18 months that's enough to get us doing much better than we are. His system is suicidal and he doesn't learn from his mistakes. He needs replacing.

It's fresh, original, left of centre takes like this that makes this thread so scintillating to read. :ange-blow:

Another poll, just shows what all the other polls are saying...the sane part ofntll then fanbase are still behind him.

It’s completely sane to want to sack a coach who has us in 12th place with 9 losses. The wanting him in actually comes from pure emotion not logic - a lot of fans like him as a person and like what he stands for in terms of style.

These polls btw - run them after the NLD, that’s all I’ll say. They’re turning incredibly quickly, you’d have seen about 90% + in favour of him staying before.

I love this brief fleeting moment in the hours before new year where enough alcohol has flowed for a sprouting of good will and bonhomie and good cheer to all men.

By 11:30 it'll be back to proper cunting off we all prefer and deserve :D
You are a beautiful man too

I love all you guys

Love this forum even though you are all a bunch of cunts

Yob are all spurs and I love you all xxx

Why would they change after we SMASH THE SCUM 0-5 :ange-arms:

Yes yes i am a bit drunk now :D

Nobody, *NOBODY* rated the squad Pochettino took over! He had a number of ageing played to painfully phase out (Ryan Mason + Bentaleb having to play regularly, I’m sure Ange would love it). He finished 5th first season, which apparently when Ange achieved it was a real accomplishment. He also got to a league cup final. Kane wasn’t the greatest premier league striker when he took over and I have zero faith this current manager brings him through at all.

Also a team which had finished top 4 under Conte and was 4th under Conte before he was sacked. We finished 8th because Levy appointed his assistant and then Mason. Ange then lost Kane but added Van de Ven, Udogie, Dragusin, a full season of Porro, Johnson, Maddison, Vicario, Solomon, Werner, spending over £200 million pounds that year. He then got another £130 million invested this summer.

Pochettino spent 4 million net in his first summer window. 16m net in his second window. Players he developed (Dele, Walker, Rose, Dier etc) are being given so much hindsight it’s unreal. I have zero, ZERO faith this current charlatan turns those players in to what they became under Pochettino.

There’s only one group of people rewriting history here and it’s the people pretending Ange has had it insanely hard, and not much easier than many of our previous coaches. We genuinely have a decent squad right now (easily top 6 with lots of growth potential) but this manager is failing miserably.

Two things can be true.

Ange is failing miserably, but at the start of Pochs second season there were some fans who wanted him gone and Poch never had this kind of injury crisis to contend with at this stage of his second season.

He had a fit Toby & Verts i believe along with Walker and Rose.... perhaps the best defences I've ever seen us have in our history.

Poch was booed off the pitch multiple times in his first season too.... and was lamented for prioritising a league game vs City over a cup game vs Woolwich early in 2015/16 too.

So let's not rewrite history with the power of hindsight on either side.

I honestly don’t hate Poch, I’m nearly 60 and he gave me two of my favourite seasons as a Spurs fan (I have to go back to the 80’s for other favourite seasons) and I think despite not winning anything he’s possibly the best coach we’ve had in my time.

And I don’t think Ange is the messiah either, last year I was pointing out the flaws when we were winning, likewise got stuck in this thread when we were on winning form for pointing out what I thought were inherent flaws. And fuck knows some of his decisions lately really fuck me off.

But I’m also realistic enough to see that when Poch wasn’t presented with good recruitment his football turned to shite, even in the peak years some of his decisions cost us titles/cups, and last year his £1bn Chelsea shipped more goals than Ange and his “no defence” football.

Likewise, these guys that keep saying Ange doesn’t adapt, don’t spend a fucking nano second actually analysing whether he actually does tweak things tactically, because he does. But you can’t tweak a VVD or a Toby A, Vertinghen, a peak Kane, a peak Son, Eriksen, Dembele, Wanyama etc until we build another great team, whoever we appoint will fuck us off. The one thing all those managers had were at least one or two top of the tree players. Modric, Bale, Kane etc. Ange doesn’t even have one of those to carry the team.

I remember during the dog shit Mourinho/Conte years people saying “I wouldn’t mind losing if only we were trying to win”. Turns they are going to whine about losing no matter how it happens. Who knew.

I’m ambivalent about what happens to Ange now, finding it hard to care, but until we recruit another good team, we won’t be one, no matter who’s in charge.

And this is the the most competitive PL, with better coaching and players from top to bottom, there has ever been. By a fucking mile.

This is 100% true.

One team being better than everyone else doesn't mean it is not competitive.

The fact anyone bar two teams (liverpool and southampton) could beat or lose to any other team is the very definition of competitive

Yeah I hear you and all that but you're clearly insane for wanting another rebuild but happy new year anyway 😍

At 23:59 I felt that Tottenham Hotspur had no direction, the squad was in a deep hole, our coaching set up was on it's last legs and we had owners that were choking us to a slow death like an anaconda.

But as part of a scheme I'm working on in 2025 to be more optimistic in life. I've made it my goal to start thinking that the squad is about to bang. Levy's been playing the long game with PSR this whole time, Ange is god and the trophies are gonna start flowing like-a wine.

This is the year we finally feel joy again.
