We finished 8th the season before because Levy fucked our season by hiring first an assistant manager and then Ryan Mason, we were fourth under the competent coach. Ange spent hundreds of millions on players in the summer & january, got Porro for a full season and Udogie as well as the players he bought. So that immediately counteracts the Kane loss. Our best GK in the PL era? Come on. Lloris was a handicap by the end, I'm not Vicario's biggest fan on here but he's a much better goalkeeper in 2024 than Hugo was.

VDV, Maddison, Udogie, Vicario, Dragusin, Johnson, Werner, Solomon. Ange got backed more than anyone has been before last year.

More to the side of success than failure? Meh. We had one match a week. We went out of the league and FA cup extremely quickly and ended up a full 6 points ahead of Ten Haags United, a Ten Haag who spent an entire season on the verge of the sack and won the FA cup in the end.
The wheels had fallen off Conte long before he quit and refused to come back to work.

He walked out because of another shit performance and result. He knew where it was headed and saved face before it came home to roost.

Stick a 18 year old CM at CB and a keeper that kicks the ball into his own net

We're lucky we are not in the relegation zone IMO

Klopp got top 4 with Adrian in goal and two not even championship level centre backs.

Ange has an international level CB in Dragusin and Gray might be a natural CM but versatile - played fullback for Leeds most of last season and can play the position well, has been good. Cost a pretty penny for a reason, one of the biggest talents in the country.

Anyone wanna take a wild guess when our injury crisis started...

He's already made it mate, no plan b unlike other tactically astute managers have said out loud, contrary to what people on here say that plan bs don't exist.

Losing most weeks, half a job ie doesn't train the defensive tactical side & is being blindly backed with a fat contract and not looking like losing his job.

He's made it.

Yes true. At first I was really sceptic about hiring an Australian who'd only done it at Celtic. It was such a strange choice. But you give him a chance still and support him. Still after the first season, I thought that he deserved one more. But those spotting him as early as Chelsea last year proved to be right. He just hasn't had enough exposure at the highest level except for a few CL games where he was thrashed for most of them.

It's not so strange in hindsight. Without experience, you're not ready. We've become an experiment for a second rate Aussie manager. He was entirely promoted by people he already knew well. He wasn't picked because he was the most fit.

Completely duped. Levy, this is your biggest mistake yet.
It all does seem to come down to City Group connections.

*Maybe* don't constantly wind people up by being a contrarian and playing devils advocate when people are understandably very frustrated at an absolutely minging season, and then they will be friendlier... there is nothing to be positive or happy about with the season so far and nobody needs a guy in the corner going "WELL AKCHUALLY" in the Levy and Ange threads every week when we lose.

Like having a haemorrhoid.

You're LITERALLY doing that now.

Being someone that gets angry and frustrated doesn't give any more weight to the points being written. It isn't any more a valid way to post than any other way.

As always, you don't like it, put me on ignore. But you do kinda like it cos it give you something to take out your frustration on.

Hilariously my surname is Levy and I'm incredibly bald.

Man, I didn't make that up. It's absolutely true. His name is Postekos. Did you aussies force him to change his name? If so, that would be offensive on your part.
Of course I know you didn't make it up. It was a fad in the 60's, 70's and 80's in particular that a lot of migrants of European descent would change their names due to the xenophobia suffered by white Australians at that time (obviously at that time, most of Australia was of British descent). He decided to change it back as an adult because he was proud of his family and who he was, and where he was from. Insult a manager's ability all you like, but saying he's a charlatan and that other nonsense is vile.

And offensive on my part? My family are of Italian heritage and forced to do the same thing at that time, so maybe stop being an ignorant bigot, and if you want to criticise someone do it on their ability as a coach rather than where they are from, cockhead.

No I'm not. Most people in this thread are sick of the coach - you, Shady and a couple of others are the last band of contrarians dying on the hill of defending him.

Not what I said. What I said was that people are fucked off because the season has been horrific, most people don't want to come on here and hear some happy clappy bullshit spin artist tell them that akchually things aren't that bad.

Not surprised.

Ah the illusion of consensus…

Honestly are you sure you are not defending that consensus you hope exists, more than you are defending your actual opinion?

I don't need to defend my actual opinion - it is being proven correct every single week. It will be proven correct tomorrow (today?), and then it will be proven correct the game after as well. Ultimately it will be crowned as undeniably correct when he is inevitably sacked for our worst season in years.

I have held this opinion from back when the vast majority of the place was behind him and you got shouted down for questioning him - so consensus or not doesn't matter me.

I don't know about "most people" or "this thread" but I think most Tottenham fans support the team and the club through this difficult period and know that sacking the manager now would be a bush league move.

You don't have a clue what people want to read more than not. Most people who come on here just read and don't post...... and even people posting more negativity is pretty much par for rhe course in any online forum or social media. Of course there are more people posting negatively about the Manager right now.

Again you don't want to read what I or others have to say, you don't have to. It's in your hands.
