Of course it has been a disaster. We are 12th. We are closer to the relegation zone than the top four. It’s been utterly terrible.

- Spitting distance? We carry a 1-0 win to Anfield. Presumptive much?

All the rest of the positives are just almost meaningless. I don’t care if we score lots of goals if we are 3 points ahead of 15th. We have been a hideously ineffective football team.

‘Disappointing’ - fuck me. It’s an absolute disaster of a position.

We are getting nowhere near the top 6 and if we’re pinning hopes on winning trophies, good luck.

The club is building for a strong future. The Kane, Son, Dele, Eriksen era is long gone. Brining in 'known quality' Ndombele, Lo Celso, Perisic, Bale, Sessegnon fell flat.

This is a rebuild from the ground up. Aside from Son, our entire squad has been replaced in 3 years - for the most part with young players.

Grey, Spence, Dragusin, Bergvall, Udogie, Kinsky, Sarr, Van De Ven, Kulu - young players all showing real quality. Add to that Moore, Odobert, Vuskovic, Yak, Phillips. Johnson has delivered in terms of goals and his defensive stats are very good - but lacking in terms of delivery.

Our senior players have been a let down. Richarlison, Bentencaur and Romero always injured - both would add required quality and experience to our squad.

Switch out Werner, Bissouma, Richarlison for some elite experienced players and we will be cooking.

It's because he's still in the cups basically. However my betting is that if we get knocked out by Liverpool in the semi, and our league form hasn't picked up, he's a goner. I think the club are all in on the league cup, and his future hinges on that and league results picking up before then.

Woolwich are absolutely beatable at the moment so it would be dissapointing if we get turned over there yet again.

Ah yes disappointing to get turned over by them despite the only manager to win there in the Prem era is Harry Redknapp

You talk about the possibility of us being relegated this season yet it's disappointing to lose to Woolwich, you're not a serious chap are you 🤣

Well, I wouldn't say this season has been a disaster. Some positives

- We are within spitting distance of the league cup final
- Our injury crisis has enabled us to give minutes to Spence, Grey, Bergvall - who have all shown immense quality. It is very likely Spence would have been sold for peanuts had he not stepped up.
- Have scored the 2nd most goals in the league - despite not having a prolific center forward. We have goals coming from all of our squad.

The league position is disappointing, but we are only halfway through the season. 54 points still to play for.

My expectation is that winning the Europa League is now our realistic way of getting back into the Champions League next season; and as a result; our ambition in the premier league will probably be to finish in the top 6 - which given Newcastle, Forest, Cheslea's form, may be a tough ask.
IN fairness the league cup is the only comp where we have performed to a good level. Terrible in the league apart from a couple of outlier performance. Some of our performances in EL have been nothing short of dreadful, and dreadful yesterday.
i cant see us ever been consistent enough to put together a run in league so it a matter of having to win a cup. I would be happy with league cup but its by far the poorest relation.
FA or EL would be excellent and i think he needs to win 1 of them if our league form doesnt improve

He should resign if he doesn't. He made such a big thing of winning things in season 2.

Plot Twist, Levy sacks him the week before

For the record, I don't think he has much of an input in signings in general. He has no leverage due to his weak resume and mediocre performance, and even if he had the club is currently operating in a way that doesn't give the manager much power. Is he going to overrule people whose job descriptions actually involve identifying and recruiting players? Don't think so.

Did you hear Ange talking about the Kinski signing , I don't have a link but I remember him saying

"yeah actually all 10 of us voted to get him"

Not sure exactly who all the 10 are but sounds very much like players are presented and then we vote on signing them , so would assume Ange has 1/10th of an input over who we sign.

You know when these Celtic fanboys, Aussie fanboys and all those reddit hipsters joined the site telling great stories about how the mythical Ange would blow us away with his insane fifa pro max bielsa low block 4-3-8-6-3 system of aggression maestro wank attacking football, I was apprehensive as to how he would cope in the Premier League and running a somewhat sensitive “everything has to be just right” goldilocks club.

Turns out the people with a bit of sense were right and this fraud is absolute gash and we just had to enjoy 120 minutes of struggle session against a non league team of scaffolders with a decent first team put out and on wednesday we’re going to have to watch us get spanked by Woolwich who are 20+ points above us and we’re closer to being in a relegation battle with Everton.

how much longer do we endure of this? What is the purpose? When was the last time we won 3 points or a string of games? We’re free falling. At this point id put Mason back in charge and focus on the summer.

We’ve regressed so much as a club and the fans are still trying to justify this shit. Iv never seen a bigger set of cuckolded fans in any sports team. Just the acceptance of it all. The amount that still think Ange is doing a good job. The level of standard from the Poch, hell even the Redknapp days to today is insane. Worlds apart from what we was. We’ve genuinely faded into mediocrity and I dont think the fans mind.
The only reason I can think of, and Its been said before, but some fans love the man more than they love the club!

Yes but Ange also has a veto right I would expect (he has effectively stated as much) so carries a bit more responsibility than 1/10th.

Anyway let's say it's a team effort, in which Ange has a significant part. How well is the team going in the last 18 months? Johnson one of the divisive ones, arguably below average value-for-money. Werner second loan a bit of a flop, although it's a loan not a signing. Dragusin maybe not a great fit to the system but improving; worst case we re-sell him without loss. I'm pretty happy with all the rest. I think that's a pretty good batting average compared to (a) rival teams in the same windows, and (b) Spurs history over the previous 3-4 years.

I think Ange the man is great! Seems to be honest and have a high moral standing, can tell a great anecdote. The sort of bloke I might enjoy sitting down having a pint with.
A bit like my mate Aussie Dave. But like Ange I wouldn't want Aussie Dave managing my beloved Tottenham!!

Johnson played pretty horribly most of the game and he has some limitations he needs to work on but he assisted the first and scored the third.

He will end this season with very respectable numbers for a player you are saying is a bad buy. His knack of scoring and assisting is pretty useful and it wouldn't surprise me if he goes on another run like he did earlier in the season and scores in a few games straight.
Johnson is lazy - whoever's playing Right back gets no help when Johnson plays

No manager is going to get much out of Werner or Johnson. They wouldn't get in any top 10 team. We need better quality whoever the manager is.
If he hadn't started with Moore, Werner and Johnson then fans would have been furious that he is not using the squad and is exhausting the first team players !!!!! The geezer just cannot win with some folk

What is this garbage I am reading?!?

All of people posting such stuff, answer one simple question - was Will Lankshear available or not?

Based on game report he was on the bench. A young academy striker who lit up U21 league last season around. A young academy striker who was used against Europa League (!) opponents. And scored a goal against Galatasaray!
Yet Ange decided to start tragically shit winger with zero composure and ability over youngster... against Non-League side.
What the fuck I ask. Werner has proved time and time and time and time again what an utterly shit footballer he is. He so clearly has no future at this club past this season. So WHY ARE WE WASTING TIME ON HIM?!? I mean with starting Reggie - I get it. We did not have alternative in this position really. But we had Lankshear as very real (and most likely FAR superior) alternative for ST position.

So far under Ange we are not really getting results. And looking at the treatment of some youngsters, we are not getting "building for the future" either. Same goes for Dorrington actually. We play NON-LEAGUE team... we have injury crises in CB and Ange keeps repeating how Radu and Archie have to play every second and how it affects them. So... START DORRINGTON ffs. If Radu or Archie get some soft tissue injury in next few weeks, it is not "surprise" or "bad luck" or anything like that. It is absolutely result of our own actions. Just like Udogie injury was result of ignoring Spence.

Given he's the head coach, and presumably the highest paid, and picks the team, and has also said he has the final say, I think suggesting Ange has 1/10th of a say is likely very wide of the mark.
