There's a lot of good people on this board deep down. God didn't design humans to perform sustained logical thinking, and clearly it's not something most have learned apart from God, either.

It's partially the fans mate. The credulous type in the stadium like we have on here. A few came out the clappers trance to give him stick against Bournemouth. But mostly they have punted this pathetic narrative so widely, that their unconditional support is some how the only thing left to do, and is some how virtuous that they will keep swallowing the Angeball stew even though it's rank. Between heaving they mumble "can't stomach another rebuild, we can't keep firing the coach." They have effectively trapped themselves.

I was watching the game and in first half I felt that - yea, possession-wise, Woolwich was dominating. But we were solid! 2nd half we were all over the place. Conceded many good chances and did not create anything ourselves. I saw not a single moment from 2nd half that would have made me believe we could get something from it.
xG for 2nd half - 1,69 for them and 0,42 (!) for us.

And what did our master tactician say after game?!?
Highlighted POOR FIRST HALF PERFORMANCE. And said we improved on the 2nd half ?!? Never been more WTF with him before really.

He really claimed that half where our xG improved by 0,09 while we allowed them to improve their xG by 1,12 was AN IMPROVEMENT? Come on, he is definition of clueless. He could not notice an acceptable playing spell when it hits him into face. And praised the half where Woolwich was clearly the better side. Is he actively trying to get sacked to talk such absolute bullshit?!?

This comment actually sums it up quite well.

The first half yes we were dominated in terms of possession but we were definitely still in the game and had our moments, and the xG stats show us basically drawing at half time.

We all know what happened next with his bonkers subs. And then the second half was just pure chaos, chance after chance that they missed while we didn’t have a sniff the other end.

But then at the end of the match in his interviews Ange says the SECOND half is the one he was happier with?!

He’s just so ideologically opposed to defending he simply can’t understand that sometimes you need to sit in and soak up the pressure. He's so so out of his depth.

Correct about Conte. The man could only dream of having Porro and Udogie as wingbacks and a back three of Romero, VDV and Dragusin.

In reality he had Emerson and Sessegnon and somehow still got top 4.
 
Petit from Le Arse had the following to say about Spurs right now. Honestly it sounds pretty much like how we are seeing it too. Just interesting to hear it coming from the other side.
