My conspiracy theory:

- I wonder if Levy hasn't signed anyone because he knows the way we're going might mean Ange is sacked soon, so he's not spending any money on helping the side for that reason, and will sack Ange in February to save himself spending any more money in Jan. Would be typical of him.
Mason is better than Ange for sure ...

However ...

Mason will not bring a new manager bounce, and if Levy is lining up a replacement in the summer, and thinks "Ryan will be fine until then" ... I think he might end up in very serious trouble this season.

We need an external hire, interim or perm., asap.

The year is 2061, Tottenham interim manager Ryan Mason is helped in to the dug out by volunteers from the ambulance service…

Would that be an argument if we'd lost every single game except for this one?
So is that on the standalone mitigant enough to bail out everything else?
This "we're still in the cups" argument really is the last refuge of those who cannot face facts and admit to changing their minds in the face of evidence.

League and cup form are overwhelmingly correlated. Have a look at the winners of leagues and cups over the past 20 years if you want some evidence on that.

We have actually played very poorly in the cups this season, the Liverpool game being the one notable exception.

It's a major PSR issue to sack your manager and then have to replace him. This is simply not just a purely footballing issue, Levy for sure is just hoping Ange can drag it out till the summer without getting hit by anyore ridiculous results.

At this point I am not putting this past Levy anymore :D

And if you add that he could throw in Mason as interim coach then he can also say that he trusts the guy who know club inside out and can get out of the existing group of players etc... :D would be anything but surprising.

I am fully on Ange Out boat but more than that I am in Levy out boat. He is good with some part of financial management, but in terms of anything that touches managerial part and playing staff and planning the squad, we are an absolute amateur club.

Is it normal for the club not to tweet anything for 18 hours?

Nothing at all since the Maddison post match interview.....

I mean we are nearly at Monday lunchtime and there's been no social media activity at all....

Out of curiosity I looked at what is officially our worst season since 1882 - the relegation year of 76-77.

Then, as now, we had some really good results against top teams. Beat 4 of the top 6, and a draw off another. Only one doubled us. But our form against so called crap teams was diabolical. Losses at home to Bristol City, Coventry. Conceding 8 at Derby (who were shite) and 5 at Spam (ditto).

Finished bottom of the table, no injury crisis. Could keep clean sheets. And 3 trophies previous 5 years.
