I think he meant the club has no winning culture, the mentality of players is weak and the owners are more interested in revenue rather than winning on the pitch. Managers get sacked but that doesn’t change the underlying issues. We’re not a club where winning on the field is demanded as the priority.
And owners pick the managers and sign off new players - I wish he had made that a bit clearer. Props to him though, no other manager had the Balls. I imagine Ange will even suck up to Levy when he leaves.

The most worrying thing is this was meant to be the new, data driven footballing structure after the Jose/Conte days. It’s completely failed from top to bottom. Where do we go from here?

I think the only way out is through, unfortunately, but there are two confounding factors:

1. You can have all the data driven footballing decision making you want, but when your coaching philosophy is that we'll just throw risk and reason to the wind it doesn't stand a chance.

2. The data approach is likely great for identifying promising players earlier, which we are arguably getting, but you need to have a solid enough core for that to come to fruition. If that gets depleted...well...

I’ve been with you, arm in arm, since Ange joined. But it’s gone far too far now. Even if the club had got in a couple of players to strengthen things, I’d maybe be less annoyed. But if they aren’t supporting him, why the fuck should I? Don’t think he’s getting enough effort from the players above all else.

However, like you, I don’t ever see this eighteen month rotation of managers ever working. That’s certainly why I hung on as long as I did. I’d love to be strong minded enough to still be behind him, but this rough patch is just too rough for me.

Hear that and I don’t blame you.

Unless Ange does a Conte and actively quits on the club or starts getting toxic about being here himself, I’m not budging but tbh I don’t really feel anything anymore. If he goes, he goes, it’s not going to ruin my week. None of these coaches are here long enough for me to get attached anymore. Poch was the last one.

It's mindboggling how this thread see's more activity than the Levy / Ownership thread after a game like today. Everything that's wrong with Tottenham Hotspur football club. At this point if you're mainly blaming Ange you're just as much to blame as Levy and co.
We can’t get rid of Daniel Levy without a multi billion pound buyer. Man United fans are far more organised/passionate than we are - they managed to get a live TV game vs Liverpool cancelled FFS - and they couldn’t touch The Glazers for years.

We all hate Levy - now more than ever - but the fact is that in the last 20 seasons we’ve only finished times outside of the top 6. This manager is a dud. I wanted to wait until the summer but his ineptitude is making it near impossible.

A dud manager is more expendable and always more transitional than a dud chairman.

The Ange stans on bluesky are unbearable. He's just unlucky. We'd be fighting for the title if he had fit players.

Levy has a horrific record of hiring and firing except for Ange apparently.

Scottish league is 43rd in the world. J-League is 26th.

Championship is 11th. Would you be happy if some rando championship gaffer was put in charge next year?
His journey to this point doesn't matter. Surely having Conte and Jose before shows this?

Ange is brave. To dare is to do - he's almost the epitome of it. He's charismatic and on the up, something to prove at spurs.

What real manager is coming to us at this point? Irolea? Forget about it...

Until the real issue at this club is addressed we will continue to fall as we have been.

Not even Pep in his prime would look good under these conditions.

Yeah... Relegation battle... Let's get Shaun Dyche in.

He wouldn't you are right, but we would also not be in this mess.

If the argument is that Postecoglou has an injury-rudden squad then of course that's correct.

When we had less I juries we were barely better.

It's been 20 months and he has not instilled anything noteworthy as far as I see it.

Some of us could see this coming for ages.

I was literally sat there in the summer saying we need to sack him, because I could see he was clueless and out of his depth.

I just knew that this season would end up wasted and he'd be sacked at some point and the season would be a write off.

If I can see it, why the fk can Levy, Lange and Munn not see it?

As I keep saying, the next best time to sack Ange was yesterday, and the day before etc etc

It's actually worse than I thought. I didn't think he'd actually take us down, but 100% if Ange stays we will get relegated.

Where is shaydan, calling me dramatic for talking about relegation a mere 3 weeks ago?

Maybe some of us actually know what we are talking about unfortunately, despite the incessent piss taking.

It’s entirely relevant when it turns out he’s got no tactical awareness. He’s out of his depth.

You can’t just play gung ho football and expect to get away with it.

I see you are the type of fan he’s talking to when he’s asking about entertainment.

We will pay someone more money than they earn at all but about 6 clubs. Iraola would quadruple his money here. Our players ARE better than Bournemouth's. They are just poorly coached. If you can’t see that then I don’t know what to say to you.
