I don't think we've been quite the same club since Gazza ruptured his knee in the '91 Cup Final, potentially (or intentionally??) sabotaging an £8m move to Lazio...

The fact we even considered selling our prized asset to fund anything OTHER than improving the team is telling...

...and only a YEAR before the PL was 'invented'
We shoulda been at the forefront of that... We were FA Cup holders in 1991...
We'd won it 3 times in a decade... (Though 1987 was probably the first 'Spursy game' I can pinpoint!)

But in 1991/92 we failed to capitalise on the pitch and got left behind after only 2 or 3 more years, and have been failing to catch up ever since!

...that's not all on ENIC....

Mason is below Wells in the pecking order, why wouldn’t it be Wells.

But let’s be real, there are better managers out of work, there’s no need to get a caretaker if they sack Ange.

They could wait until the summer for Iraola or Frank and both have stinkers to end the season and not look appealing anymore.

Got 3 relatives in hospital as I type this. One in their last few weeks, another struggling with MH issues. And another who was rushed to hospital just today. The joys of getting older…….

Football means a lot less to me these days. Just escapism. I’m not really that emotionally invested in it.
Wasn’t always the way.

And I might feel a bit different if Levy was rinsing me for a few grand every year though!

Postecoglou doesn't really deserve more players but the club needs them.

Who do we suggest comes in then?

I don’t want to see Iraola or Silva.. they’ve got no reason to leave their clubs, and we have no right to go and pick them up. We aren’t an attractive proposition.

It’s gonna have to be an interim, someone like Benitez. An experienced manager in both PL and Europe who can stabilise the team. He will at least get the team organised and when you are organised it’s much easier to get results.

There's 11 of them playing every three or four days. Everything they have to give isn't going to be enough. Ever.

I know attention is on the manager and rightly so but what's happening with our squad has gone from worrying to dangerous. Either pull out of some cup competitions or buy some players to protect the ones we still have who can walk.
 
The owners have a lot more to lose if we’re relegated. I’m wondering whether the delay in getting a replacement manager and new players in this TW, is because they are currently in negotiations to sell the club or getting an investor in.
