There’s no rational debate. It’s like trying to have a debate with people who think the earth is flat. They’re wrong. All sensible, rational people know they’re wrong.

We’re 15th going on 16th. It isn’t rational or normal to think this coach is the answer still. We just lost to Leicester at home. The situation is beyond diabolical. Anyone still behind him is blinded by fanaticism or refusing to admit they were wrong.
I am becoming increasingly convinced Ange bears some responsibility for our injury crisis which is really sapping my will to continue defending him, but I find criticisms of him that completely ignore the injury crisis to be very bizarre.

Different management may have averted or better managed availability through this crisis, different management might have nicked an extra point here or there (and that matters), but no manager on earth is getting a tune out of the totally exhausted dozen bodies Ange has left.

tell us what you hoped to achieve with your one thousandth post on this subject? you were awfully quiet sunday and monday and now you come crawling out of your hole again with the same bullshit.

I mean it's not really bullshit though is it unless you want to argue against facts which is pretty stupid seeing as you want to use facts that support your argument yet you want to ignore them just because it doesn't appease with your little agenda, okay then. 😆

You know if I thought someone was a troll or allowed myself to get wound up to the point where I got binned because I can't control my own emotions then I'd probably put them on ignore, that's a helpful tip!

Of course they are. There is zero excuse for our current levels of incompetence. The players available are not this bad. We are the 2nd worst team in the league currently, what are some of you smoking?

Nobody is ‘ignoring’ the injury crisis. They just aren’t deluded and don’t think it justifies shit like losing to Leicester at home or being 3-0 down to Everton at HT or going to ET vs fucking Tamworth.

The manager has failed to do anything to scrape together points whilst facing the injury crisis. We are a total shambles. Nobody but the blind Postecoglite cultists can continue to justify this.

you're american no? there's a quote from bill parcells: "you are what your record says you are." this isn't a blip. why not consider you don't know as much about football as you think you do? ange should consider this path as well rather than insisting he's going to reinvent football in a sport that's been around for over a century in england. full on attack, no one ever thought of that before! i'm sorry to be a dick but this shit deserves ridicule at this point.

Absolutely right. Watching us at our best under Poch was just a joy at times. We went toe to toe with the best teams in the land, and I always felt confident we’d get a result. There was brilliant defensive organisation, clear game plans, confidence in possession and an organised press.

The problem with ‘Angeball’ is that is just totally chaotic and you can’t understand what is being coached. We have no patterns of play and we find it hard to keep possession. We are shambolic defensively, the press is broken and offensively we only do well with a suicidal overload of attackers.

100%

The patterns of every game are exactly the same and that is why we rarely win.

Brentford up next in the league. I know we beat them at home (they were missing Wissa and Norgaard, two of their most important players, whilst we were at full strength) but I cant see Frank not setting up well enough to beat us.

I really don’t get how the manager can maintain such an air of arrogance given all of this. He’s there in his post-match talking about “context” mentioning how “only a few weeks ago we beat Liverpool here.”

It’s these little gems that make it hard to feel any sympathy for him over the injury crisis. Like you said, we should be beating these teams, no excuses, injuries or not.

Doubling down on this nonsense and acting like a fool only digs the hole deeper. He’s trying to convince us it’s all part of the “plan” and we will grow from this long term, I am not buying it whatsoever, it’a obvious to me now he is just out of his depth.

100%. The way he spoke about oh we had a great night v Liverpool only a few weeks ago like that makes up for not winning at home for three months in the league.

He's literally just talking pure shit, just trying to blag it day by day. We literally scraped past Liverpool in the first leg, and it'll all be for nothing when we get battered next week anyway.

He's just such a bullshitter. He knows there is nothing he can say to excuse it, so he just comes out with nonsense about how we won at home a few weeks ago, as proof that his way works. He talks about how this can still be a special season. He's deluded if he thinks we are winning any cup under him, he's awful and I'm sorry but no cup makes up for the shit he's served up in the league this season.

He talks about how the boys give everything, and that's all he can ask of them. No mention of how his tactics led to yet another defeat. He's just an idiot. So out of his depth.

The injury crisis is obviously significant. How much of it is down to Ange’s methods is impossible to determine, but it has certainly hamstrung the team, pun intended.

But Everton away was fucking absurd. There is no alternative dimension or metaverse where Ange’s tactics in that match make sense. He pushed us even *further* forward, leaving oceans of space in midfield.

He is a stubborn, arrogant fool. This is evident in both his tactics and how he conducts himself in front of the fans. It’s as if each defeat is a further chance for him to double down on his tactics, like a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow.

He will get sacked and then never hold a top flight management position again. My money is on the MLS where his brand of bullshit might play well for the cameras.

I mean one place those tactics didn't make sense was inside the brains of his own players, they had no idea where to be.

That was very damning, I agree. Had a Stellini-esque air about it.

Though I would also say that it's a cautionary note about changing tactics too sharply when your squad is a bunch of knackered teenagers.

Got to agree the Everton game was absolutely fucking horrendous. Red line drawn after the game for me.

Talk of a project or rebuild lol. It doesn't exist in football. We've already rebuilt our squad. It's unrecognisable to what Poch and Jose had. Even what Conte had.

Son is basically the only player that has been here longer than a few seasons ago.

The rebuild is done. What we need is a manager to make the team better than the sum of it's parts. Ange is doing the opposite, he's sending this talented group down into the championship.

The longer Ange has been here, the worst we've been. Its the opposite of what should be happening.

So all he has left, is to moan about injuries and fatigue. No doubt it isn't an ideal situation, but many teams go through this. Bounremouth have loads of big players out.

We still have loads of internationals playing. On paper that team on Sunday everyone thought, looks good. Same against Everton, yet we get embarrassed.

Sure they might be a bit tired, but again many clubs are playing games every few days and they aren't able to rotate as much. It's all just excuses.

Maddison is now out for 3 weeks lol. The injuries simply aren't going to clear up as long as Ange is here.

Same here.

He pushed Porro up and Archie even further forward so Dragusin had to cover half the pitch both laterally and vertically. He got absolute pelters for that second goal, but the Everton player had a free run at him for about 50 yards! You never see sides concede goals like that!

I do not pretend to be a tactical mastermind and I know all these things are relative, but I sincerely believe Ange is woefully incapable at this level. And he seems to revel in his remorseless capacity to *not* learn.

In some ways it's as much of a damning indictment of Ange's tactics as a credit to them, but either way it is a fact that a classy-tackling CB with more pace than anyone else on the field is like a unique cheat code to make Ange's devil-may-care tactics actually work.

VDV single-handedly turns a situation in which we're badly out of position against a counterattack into one in which we're in position, over and over again.

That's unbelievably valuable. It's funny, we will be less dependent on him with more conventional tactics, but will also exploit his amazing ability less.

What the heck wasn't Madders just sore?
