No you don’t. Ange has not won a thing at Spurs and has lost more matches in a season than Harry ever did. To mention this fraud in the same sentence as Harry or Poch is insulting. I am seriously questioning whether you are Spurs Fan.
Ffs that Richard is in denial. I bet he wasn’t criticising Harry when he was here and went to a field and beat them 2-1 or thrashed inter at home. Or get 1-0 away at city and so on. Ok he didn’t win but at least he gave us hope that we’re on the verge of doing good things and on the right line. His football was much better than Ange’s. Even when we play well under Ange few occasions that is it’s only moments in games. We never seem to control a game or keep the oppo at arms length and still look threatening. We must have the highest attempts against us in the league.

I don't give a fuck about dignity in the league table. We had dignity in the league table last year. Dignity in the league table is a nice way of saying won nothing.
Well we didn’t have dignity in a cup semi final. Will we after Villa game. What are you looking for if you don’t care about league position? So next time we finish 2/3/4 in the league are you not gonna be happy?

And that's the problem with football fans. We are all a bunch of simps who just accept watching the same shit teams win all the time and just keep pumping our money into football anyway.

If we are talking about your local club, or your non-league team, 100% agree with you it's about the people you experience the game with. Or even if this was the German Bundesliga where the fans own the clubs in many cases, but that's not what we are talking about here, we are talking about the PL where its a playground of corrupt billionaires, nation states and corporate money laundering out side doors into sports via hedge funds like clearlake capital or ENIC. We have no reason to accept being losers for any of them. If they want people's money, they need to win.
So why are pool, goons and forest in the top 3 then? What have they got in terms of corrupt billionaires that we haven’t. I see Brighton just beat chavs. What have Brighton got that we haven’t.

Modric didn't even play CM until at least his second season. He didn't do a whole lot at LW. Lennon maybe. Defoe or Keane I would not take ahead of Solanke. Nor would I Woodgate or Dawson over any of our current CBs. King barely played so he's not a worthwhile comparison.
I’d have Keane over Solanke. His goal scoring record is mile better for starters, he had great skill and produce moments of magic to pull us out of whole. Also he worked hard for the team. Solanke works hard least you’d expect but does he have that killer instinct or that magic curler from edge of the box or overhead volley in him.

Certainly didn’t spend us much.

This isn't an argument to be honest.

It's pretty obvious the club would spend more on transfers now than in 2008+.

The inflation in transfer fees now is frankly out of hand. This is where the whole "he's been backed" falls on its ass.

Being backed is getting the best players you can in each position. Not getting your pants pulled down by other clubs because they know you're desperate.

Yes because we are poorly coached. At the moment the field is too big. Our press is a disorganised disaster which is always press which is knackering, On top of that our defensive organisation is terrible. Chris Davies is definitely a big loss. Then the always play it out of the back disaster which allows us to lose the ball because other teams know we are going to do it.,
Doing well with birmingham and played well yesterday

Yep,

Major reason why i don't feed the mob.

It's been a pile on and they will get their wish, but imagine spending so much time and effort to tell fellow posters that they are blind, dumb, and so forth. They mob rules mate.

I have to hand it to Richard Arlison Richard Arlison , he and I differ on many topics but he cops it left, right and centre. The majority may be right, but that doesn't excuse the vitriol he and others cop.

2 or 3 posters here are absolute relentless cunts with the pile on. He is more Spurs that those maggots and he has a spine .
Nah mate hes as bad as those Ange out vitriol at times and flip flops to what suits him.
Im ange out but not with the hate some people here seem to have. Not to the point of wanting us to lose. Thats mental.

Its just a form of self-protection. Trying to create a win-win situation for themselfs.
I dont blame them...
I hope we play the youngsters and that they give everything on the pitch.
The seniors have let us down so hard that I dont want to see them just 3 days after that spineless performance

No point changing mid-season unless we find ourselves in a relegation battle, which would probably mean the players have lost faith in the manager.

However, without a major uptick in our form he has to go in the summer regardless if we snag a cup.

Wrong to sack him now imo. End of season though. Even if we win Europa and fa cup. Just cant have another injury plagued season. All these injuries started home to chelsea 2023. It's too frenetic and unsustainable his tactics.
I agree the injuries need some analysis. And I agree with your timeline - it started in 2023.

We don't have the depth or quality to compete for champions league and that's where we should be. Enic need to address that or divest. Our supporters should cease spending money with the club immediately - it's the only lever for change we have. Those continuing to spend with the club accept and further the status quo.

Regarding fa cup and Europa; do you really think anyone would be happy about Ange getting the bullet if he one either of those competitions?

I dont get wanting to lose at all. Make no secret of my views on Postecoglous 'abilities' but with him they'll always be another defeat around the corner. Whatever happens he wont be in the job for long.

I guess the only argument is if we're going to go out another performance like Thursday rather than a plucky 3-2 defeat might hasten his exit.

Ange Postecoglou responds after Leyton Orient boss Richie Wellens' apology for injuries jibe at Tottenham

Ange Postecoglou has hit back at Leyton Orient manager Richie Wellens after he made a jibe towards the Tottenham boss last Saturday.

Orient fell to a 1-0 defeat by Stockport and when asked during a post-match interview whether injuries had contributed to the loss, Wellens said: 'I'm not Ange Postecoglou, keep using it as an excuse.'

Wellens has since apologised for his remark, admitting he is 'deeply embarrassed' by it and that it was a 'stupid comment'.

As Spurs prepare to face Aston Villa in the FA Cup fourth round on Sunday, their absentee list could sit at a Premier League-high 11 players.

When asked whether Wellens had been in contact to apologise personally, Postecoglou was conservative with his words and implied that the Orient boss has had his minutes of fame.

'He's had his five minutes, that's good enough for me', he said.

Postecoglou was then asked whether fans and pundits may be beginning to grow tired of the narrative that Tottenham are incapacitated by their injury woes.

Spurs have endured a nightmare campaign in the Premier League, slipping to 14th in the table after 13 defeats from 24 matches.

Postecoglou has been forced to chop and change his side frequently over the course of the season so far, hit with injuries to several key defenders including Micky van de Ven, Cristian Romero and Destiny Udogie.

'I don't know how it's a narrative when you are just stating facts,' the Aussie said.

'If people don't see a situation where you are missing something significant, there is nothing I can say to that. If they say, "well, that shouldn't really make a difference", I don't know how to answer that.

'I get that people's senses get dulled or people get bored — everyone wants a bit of drama. But that's not drama, that's just stating facts.

'We have been missing some really key players for a long time and have had to deal with that. Whether people see that as significant or not… If people think I'm trying to create a story out of nothing, I don't know what to say about that.'

Postecoglou added: 'As for other managers, he's [Wellens] had his five minutes, so let's move on.'

Spurs, who have a close relationship with Orient, sent academy stars Jamie Donley and Josh Keeley to the League One club for a season-long loan at the start of the campaign.

Former Tottenham captain Harry Kane also completed a loan spell there early in his career, while Spurs women regularly play their home games at Orient's Brisbane Road.

Orient have beaten Spurs just twice in their club history - once in 1909 and most recently in 1985.

Spurs have won 10, drawn three and lost just two games to the East London side over the 116 years they have faced each other.
'He's had his five minutes, so let's move on' is *exactly* how I feel about Ange too.
