When did he do that?

btw I'm not saying his mistakes mean he shouldn't lose his job btw but let's get it straight about what was and wasn't a mistake because rotation certainly wasn't one of them.

What did you just say ? I honestly did not catch it.

My point was simple - in first games in Europe we rotated lot more. And mostly got through it.
Yet after Galatasaray game this rotation stopped.

After that we got draws with Roma and Rangers. It is hard for me to imagine we could have done worse than 2p from those games with some youngsters getting more minutes. Best case in point for me is Lankshear. Scored against Gala. Went off with 2nd booking. And then got combined of 11 (!) minutes in 3 games where he was available. That is not enough in my view.

The year is 2055, Ange Postecoglou, Tottenhams longest standing manager who turns 90 this year has defended his team following their defeat against the current leaders of Division 3, Kidderminster Harriers.

When asked if it was necessary to play such a high line that saw the entire outfield team in the oppositions penalty box for the entire game, he responded:

“It’s who we”

Unfortunately he didn’t get to finish the response as he fell asleep mid interview
The year is 2057, and National League strugglers Tottenham Hotspur are away to newly promoted Guernsey FC. Veteran manager, Ange Postecoglou, now 92, was downbeat about his team's chances as we caught up with him during a seaside stroll:

"Look I don't know how many times I have to sit up here and say this! I can't ask for any more from these players. Playing each weekend, every weekend is hitting these guys hard. I'm playing three 7 year olds out there. How many teams have 52 first team players out for 4 seasons straight? Just us? Right. Yes. Thought so mate. I don't think there's any team in the league with more under 5s, and in particular under 5 girls, holding down first team positions right now. I just know if these boys (and girls) get through this period, and we get Mickey back, we will see so much growth. I am totally confident on that."

Can't stand the woman but she'll be more entertaining than the football we're playing....

Iraola seems to have nurtured Kerkez, the two centre backs (18 and 22) and other young players really well. It’s a huge part of why he’s No. 1 for me.
If Iraola cannot be gotten I'd be very happy with Alguacil. He's currently the head coach at Real Sociedad but his contract runs out in the summer. He ticks a lot of the boxes for what we want.

He plays attacking football, is good at developing youngsters (a must at Basque clubs who pride themselves on their academies), and has experience from La Liga and European football. Alguacil was also head coach of Sociedad's reserve and u23 teams before he got promoted originally as well.

Spurs are a football manager epithet killer

Title winning conte
Trophy winner Jose
Second season Ange

Gotta laugh really
Yup, a graveyard for managers!

And if we are serious for a second. I wonder if the club has dug itself a hole so deep, we can't get out of it?

What great manager would want to come here now? Same with players.

I'm not feeling positive at all about the club going forward. The only thing we have left to attract managers/players with, are living in London, and money. And we all know our owner doesn't like to spray money around.

But that's the only route we have left it seems.

The only scenario i can see, is back to the 90's and midtable obscurity, unless we start spending big on wages.

Not really the club has run out of road. There is no Conte to come along, it would be Ryan Mason till end of season.
For once i'd be ok with that. It literally cannot be any worse. Just telling our full backs to play as full backs and get 2 midfielders to sit in midfield will improve results. Just simple back to basics. But they wont go back to Mason, too embarrasing for them which is why we're lumbered with the charlatan.

Levy going back to Poch would relieve all the pressure on him for another 18 months or more. Wide sections of the supporters would be very pleased.

But I don’t believe Levy would ever do it because it because it entails admitting he made an error sacking Poch and that all the club’s tribulation of the last several years would be laid at his feet.

And beyond this, it would entail Levy saying he made another mistake by not bringing Poch back before when he was available and we were without a manager. Uncle Fester will never accept the blame for all this. He blames managers.

Levy still doesn’t intend to back any new manager with a budget that matches our aspirations, he is still searching for that elusive miracle worker who can turn his water into wine, and he doesn’t believe Poch is that.
I agree - Poch is like Obi Wan, became more powerful when he was struck down. If he was given a second go he would be in a very strong position to put pressure on for transfers etc and Levy wouldn't want that.
