Under a lot of pressure Ange just think being 59 have to consider that. Perhaps being a bit soft but business is business after all. One thing I did like Ange saying to press liverpool lost to plymouth and got vibe press werent on Slots case. Regardless I think we will have a new manager next season. My preference is iraola next season and dont go to plan poch 2026 after WC to stabilise us for 3 years. Surprised chelsea fire him tbh. Think they would have challenged for title if they stuck with him. Maresca under pressure at chelsea and just a hunch they may go for iraola if they dont get top 4 and win conference league.
Not sure why his age would be a factor to consider?!

He’s 59, not 80 with a dicky ticker and it’s not like he’d need to consider difficulty in re-employment like a normal member of the population at that age.

You really don't know that. Anything could happen between now and the press conference on Friday tbh.

I can't think of many managers that were sacked on a Monday morning after a bad Sunday evening result.

Conte went full ragebeast and nothing was said for weeks as it was an international break.
Nuno was sacked on a Monday after a Saturday loss.
Mourinho was a Monday after a Friday game.
Poch 10 days after his last game during a 2 week international break.

I do think Levy likes to ask around at the club, including senior players, what their thoughts are.
Which is problematic here, as the players probably love doing fuck all in training.
Problem is Levy’s most likely move would be to appoint Mason as interim. This would cause a riot and a lot of Ange out believe this would be a disaster. If Ange can get a couple of wins before then Levy can claim it was the injury crisis and keep him until the end of the season. Then no payoff and the only thing would be that we go out of the Europa League that we would unlikely to win anyway in his head.

How’s that work when he has a contract to (I think) 2027?

Mason would be more steady than suicide ball.
Fans need to wrap their head around the facr we need to steady the ship drastically.

Whilst it seemed he didn’t understand our feelings about the City game ; in his defence, he couldn’t have come out publicly with anything other than what he said ; or he could have been facing a charge.

What irks me is that he doesn’t seem to have the same aggressive , raw meat eating “I’m only interested in winning mate ; whoever the opponents are” mentality when we are playing games that 100% of the fan-base actually want the team to win.

If you see what I mean .
100pc I wanted to win that City game so don’t give a fuck on that. But Ange is not a “win at all costs” coach. Nothing like jt

If that was a once off id say fair enough but its all game every game. I was derided by a certain individual when i mentioned i was an amateur coach. Told that i hadnt a clue what i was talking about at this level. That i was giving it the big one that i knew everything.
Even an amateur coach would not do whats shown above. Mental stuff.

That said individual hasnt been seen since yesterday. Will come back on in a day or 2 spouting nonsence

Name and Shame 😳

If he isn’t sacked today I am genuinely done for the season.

I can’t stand the twat, I don’t think I have ever disliked a Spurs manager this much quite frankly, it feels like an injustice paying this man the money we do when he is such a con artist.

Sorry to see you go as I totally agree with you but we’re stuck with him until the Summer sadly

Thats what i find hilarious. We played once a week last year, had tons of injuries. Was that not the time to reassess?? Its a fucking shambles. To say it has nothing to do with the way we play is ridiculous
The man's a fool and half the clowns you were trying to teach the tactical basics to are even dumber. There were Celtic supporters here warning us what was coming from a way less competitive league when he arrived. And still the man thinks this is bad luck he's unbelievable stupid.

Settle petal. I’m allowed my opinion.
And why is it that because I joined the forum when Ange was signed makes my opinion less significant?
I’ve explained to many many before that I’ve been a casual Spurs supporter since the Gary Lineker days. My family is from London. Get off your pedestal ffs.

‘Casual’

WTF does that mean?

You’re either Spurs or you’re not!

No half measures!

Amazing comment and you wonder why a few on here have a go at you?

Sky Sports News digging him out a bit. Showing days lost this season from injuries up to end of January.

PL Average = 557 Days.

Woolwich = 648 Days
Palace = 652 Days
Ipswich =667 Days
Spurs = 783 Days
Brighton = 1020 Days.

Presenter saying Brighton have lost considerably more than Spurs, are higher up the table and implying they’re bleating less than Ange. Saying Ange stated “Nobody else could cope” but Brighton have haven’t they?

Maybe they’re getting fed up with him now as well.

They are. In part because he does invite it with the bravado and confidence with which he likes to present himself (and that's fair. Talk a bit game in a public facing job and you have to deal with being poked at). And also in part because Ten Hag is gone so now Ange is next in line.

I don't know if it was on here or on another forum but they linked a piece that made the point that it may also be a bit driven by "haha he talks funny and says mate a lot". Kinda like when the media went at Emery for his less than stellar English once he came over for his first run.

But Emery recovered and went right back to Spain and won his fourth Europa League and is now back doing well at Villa. So he's shut them up in a sense.
