Well said Henry Hotspur Henry Hotspur

Like most I was swept away for the first 10 games. As it's gone on it's become clear to most it's chaotic, next-goal-wins, nonsense football which is not sustainable at this level. And that's without going into the various problems concerning injuries and the woeful media management.

Sunday will be the peak of this. Us against a Man U side who play two in midfield. It could end up anything. Shame we are missing Solanke to put the chances away.

I read an article about Ange in the German football newspaper "kicker" today.

Breakfast Newspaper GIF

It was reported that Tottenham fans are slowly but surely no longer believing that Ange can turn things around.
The many injured players that Tottenham currently has to replace are cited as an argument in favor of the manager.
The question of why there are so many injured players at THFC is "answered" with another question.
The journalist asks whether the training (which is said to be very hard) and the aggressive and constant desire to play forward (with the last line being very high) could be the reason why there are so many injured players?

On the other hand, the journalist says that Tottenham should be in a much better position with this squad, but that this is not possible due to the many injuries.
Many fans blame Levy more for the club's misery.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Without journalistic support, I am writing that I believe that the many injured players are a major reason for the current image that Tottenham is giving off.

For me, that is not a license for a manager, but in my opinion it is a very strong argument that it does not make the job any easier for any manager, and of course not for Ange.

Perhaps the many position changes or the intensive running are a major problem, which in turn would be a matter for the coaching team.

I hope that Ange can start a turnaround on Sunday against ManU and that the players (please forgive the constant repetition) show that they understand that they are allowed to play in these shirts for working hard, for scratching, biting and spit (a saying from German league football) and for the fans who spend a fortune to support their team!

That's it.

Have a nice weekend and a fascinating Sunday.

we beat them with a reserve team.

Re our performance vs Galatasary vs last night.

Their starting 11 vs us

Vs last night

So the was Galatasary B team that lost to AZ

Thanks mate! Same to you as well.

If I'm honest, my own bias towards defending coaches has also probably led me to disagreeing with people's opinions on Ange more than it should have. And I'm not doing that shit anymore.

Just get so tired of the same loop and no matter how different you and I both see it with Ange specifically, we've both found it pretty easy to agree that we will be right back here with whatever narrative it is that eventually sticks for the next coach. At some point we have to find a coach who can survive it, even if it's not Ange.
You do like “narratives” Dickie

If United stick with Ruben for two years then they will see progress. Absolutely, because it's how long it takes. If anyone believes anything can change in a short space of time, they are living in a alternative universe that is not based on reality.

"If someone shows me someone who has done it in a shorter period without investment, then show me.

What a cock. What an absolute cock. Ok Ange how about the Tamworth coach?

“Without investment”. Yeah Ange because some teams spend £0 right? Ok, realistically, how about Slot ? Not doing a bad job without insane investment. Iraola?

Such a tetchy, grumpy bastard in his interviews. Really have taken a dislike to him recently.

Could tolerate his personality defects though if we were actually performing.
he's an utter embarrassment every week. say what you want about spurs and spursy, but we've always been a classy organization that carried itself with a certain level of dignity and class and he betrays that every time he steps in front of a microphone.

Both JD on Sunday and Azza here speaking complete sense about us and how we play. Yet we have a coaching staff that seem to be producing this dross on the pitch every week alongside the manager. I’d be happier if we got these guys involved in the club at some level. They seem to know what it takes. (Ignore the red herring headline)

I've been thinking the same.

That nucleus of Ledley, Keane, Lennon, Defoe and Dawson. Get them all through their badges and build a boot room.

Dawson is the leader. Yorkshire too; like Billy Nic & Burkinshaw.

Under this manager we are not a ‘team’ built to withstand a ‘war of attrition’. Moreover, with Ange’s lack of nous and naive coaching methods (at best, at worst non-existent coaching methods) Spurs don’t and didn’t ever stand a chance.

It was clear during the mythical 10 games that he’d been found out or would be very soon. Since then, the downward spiral has continued. I’m a ST holder and as such have had to endure what you’ve chosen to miss (Chelsea for example).

It’s been the same every week. The same brain dead gung Ho nonsense. Inverted FB’s flying up and leaving holes. MF’s bombing on and leaving our 2 (yes, two CB’s exposed). How it’s taken the two cup defeats for people to realise how badly this manager is out of depth and how his ‘methods’ haven’t worked is beyond me!

We get done by the same goal/s every time we play and our forward play is easy to defend against. I won’t even go into his lack of in-game management, evident lack of leadership and disastrous (preventable) injury record.

Ange was way down a list of managers that we interviewed (most, like Slot turned us down). The recruitment is on Levy. Once here though, Ange’s naivety and stubbornness has been a cross for all of us to bear.

The end can’t come quickly enough
Completely agree, yet, if he wins us the EL getting us a trophy and CL that’s the most successful season since 1984? Or 91 if you value FA Cup n Cup Winners Cup entry higher.

No doubt in my mind Slot would have got us CL qualification last season and then this, with his more calculated approach.

Weird. Could see him given a 3rd season if he does. Not sure how to feel about that, other than we’d need 5 more top quality players plus 5 more elite coaches/recovery/medics (at least).

I just can't believe Postevoglou is still our manager.

I have completely switched-off caring, beyond safety.

The guy talks as though he gets it and yet we play and approach games in a manner that just makes you shake your head.

Weak-minded, poor in strategic terms, not clever and not one player who is markedly better today than when Postecoglou joined us.

Depressing.

I've completely switched off now.

I can't even be bothered to post on here much.

I'll vent on Sunday if we lose. Call Ange a fucking fraud. I've been doing that for a year now. He's still here. Unbelievable.

I've completely checked out. The only thing keeping me going is that Ange will be sacked imminently.

If I was assured Ange was gone in the summer no matter what, I could accept it begrudgingly.

But the idea that Ange could be given a third season, I can't even describe how fucked that would be. It would be the worst two years as a Spurs fan in my life.

he's an utter embarrassment every week. say what you want about spurs and spursy, but we've always been a classy organization that carried itself with a certain level of dignity and class and he betrays that every time he steps in front of a microphone.
We had conte and Mourinho as 2 of our 3 most recent managers. Mourinho is way worse. The master of deflecting blame and putting others down.

Ange has failed here but at least has supported his players almost all the time. It’s just untrue to act like we’ve always had classy managers and ange has single handedly brought the bar down.

Ange clearly doesn’t like the British media. There is a pretty active thread on this site about media bias and it’s almost all anti-media posts.
