We could have been down 3-0 five minutes in against a relegation fodder that averages one a match, there's nothing sustainable about this.
If it's going to take stuff like;
-Deflected shots going in (see Spence's goal today)
-Opposing forwards missing sitters (see Garnacho last week, Wissa the week before)
-Opposing keepers making grave errors (see Onana last week)
-Vicario making highlight reel material saves on a regular basis
for us to go on a run then I'm not very hopeful. All stars rarely align like that in a certain match, let alone across several matches. I guess players are more fresh and therefore cover more ground due to less congested schedule, but other than that I don't see much of a difference. Giving the ball away playing out from the back, chaotic running around masquerading as pressing, players getting vastly caught out of position are all still there.
It’s just feel-good PR shit.I’ve always thought that award was complete nonsense. Giving people medals for a month’s work is laughably pointless.
Ok thank you

Funny fact for the day.
We're the in form team over the last 3 games.
I can't quite wrap my hear around it. We've won our last 3 with an aggregate score of 7-1
But I don't think we've played well in any of them.
That’s a regular occurrence on here the delight some posters get when we lose is actually quite disturbing.Definitely feels like a lot of posters would have preferred a loss. We won 4-1 away from home FFS![]()
We're up to the heady heights of 12thLooks like simple regression to the mean to me, the fact that we had been hitting new lows for quite some time made this kind of a mini upturn in form almost a certainty. Unless this is accompanied by a significant improvement in our game I'm afraid this will end up being a false dawn. We're riding our luck, and a statistical phenomenon, more than anything at the moment.

Arguing all this right now is just a tangent point somewhere on a larger curve. Have fun splitting hairs with these hair-splitters. I humbly suggest you find a better use for your Saturday.People said the alamo wins under Mourinho and Conte weren't sustainable.
People said that getting beat every week but "playing well" under Ange was a positive sign.
Which one is it?
And what about the many times we lost AND played shit?
Alot of revision to maintain arguments/opinions.
Funny how they always seem to be "the worst (insert team name) you'll ever see" whenever we beat them. It’s a good, well-deserved run of luck for now. We’ll learn a lot more as we face better teams that can more capably expose us. That was the worst Man Utd side you’ll ever see.
We played terrible teams. We recently got knocked out of two cups and lost to Leicester and Everton. I’m simply maintaining perspective here.Funny how they always seem to be "the worst (insert team name) you'll ever see" whenever we beat them.
There's always a caveat whenever we beat a team, yet the same metric is never applied when we get beaten. Half the squad out injured is "just an excuse." Win a game and "we rode our luck."
The last 3 games, all of which we won, our xG was higher than the other team, meaning we created the better chances and, hence, deserved to win.
It's funny how the missed chances of other teams are dusted off for use as evidence against us, whilst our own missed chances, which were higher percentage scoring chances, are conveniently ignored.
We've won 3 on the bounce and deservedly so, all whilst having to navigate an injury crisis. Why is this such a bitter pill to swallow for some of you?
Not really, you're claiming we have been lucky in our 3 wins, when the evidence shows that as false. We played terrible teams. We recently got knocked out of two cups and lost to Leicester and Everton. I’m simply maintaining perspective here.
I should have said mildly fortunate, which I stand by.Not really, you're claiming we have been lucky in our 3 wins, when the evidence shows that as false.
What Leicester and Everton have to do with that is anyone's guess, they weren't even part of what you were referring to.
We've won 3 deservedly, we're building some confidence and momentum. That's the current perspective.
