Bring it Don Pedro, but please mate, remember, this forum is mainly a replacement for “letters to the editor” you might have once found in News of the World. At least those daft cunts had editors, left in the sensation and left out the piss weak drivel.
Stick with it, I don’t agree with everything you put out, but your positive support for Spurs is awesome.
A lot of days Ange needs to grow and be more adaptive, but I’m fully behind him making something of this year with a refreshed and fit team

Thank you. I don't expect anyone on here to agree with everything I say - that would be weird. Football is a game of opinion so debates are healthy.

My objective is to try and remain calm and not allow my opinion to be swayed by the emotional and reactionary noises. I think I'm fair and open to debates but I'm sure plenty on here find me unbearable too!

Cool

Calling the club you support pussys isn't being a fan IMHO.

One, (not me of course) might say that being a pussy is melting down and going on social media to cry and complain cos the team arent doing as well as they should....

Uh .. what about if the players/mentality at the club currently is that of a pussy mentality? You think Liverpool fans weren't saying this when their players rocked up in white suits and got sorted out? Fans are allowed to have a go at the players within reason, if they're half arsing it and not delivering it and demonstrating a shit mentality on the pitch its fair game.

If being critical of the players, manager, owner of a club make one not a fan, then 99% of supporters are not fans.

My family were born and bred in Tottenham. You are a Postecoglou dick rider who will he gone the moment he is sacked. Fuck outta here

I don't think Dudu is an Ange dick rider. He is just one of those fans who will stand by basically anything or anyone which is associated to the club. If it was Nuno he'd have him as his profile picture until the day of the sacking. He's not one of the aussie clan who are literally here because they're fans of the man and think he's some kind of deity.

A fan is a fanatic.

Supporters offer support.

There are fans and supporters.

Spurs supporters generally support the team even when the team are shit. Especially away.

We have a few fanatics but lots of supporters.

The best players get past criticism eventually. Digging them out is always fair.

Yeah - the comment I was referring to was a really well-thought-out critique of the club and not some hysterical crybaby shit.

It doesn't need to be well thought. If somebody thinks the club acts like fucking pussies and our mentality is that of a bunch of pussies, he's entitled to say it. Doesn't mean he doesn't love the club or isn't a fan. Amazing isn't it? Same with nationalism, you can "love" your country but call it out for things, incredible...

In fact, people doing that are probably just frustrated/annoyed (e.g, crybabies) and venting. Therefore probably bigger "fans" than you with your whole "I don't react emotionally to anything, its just football" schtick. You seem to think you can define what makes someone a fan - you can't. Slavish loyalty to whoever happens to be overseeing the Club at the time might be your way - it isn't his.

What cultural Change?

-How to go 3 months without winning at home.
-How to run a squad into a ground because he cannot build a stable set up.
-How to lose more games in a season than any Spurs Manager under Enic since Jol

Ange is a manager who has never had to learn how to do things differently hence he conceded 3 goals in every game with Australia at the world cup.
From a high level, we have dramatically changed many things in the 18 months Ange has been here.

1) Age. We've gone from having one of the oldest squads in the league to one of the youngest squads in the league.
2) Wages. We've also dramatically brought down our wage bill and dismantled our entire leadership group (Lloris, dier, Kane, Hojbjerg).
3) Style. We have totally changed our style of football. Gone from being arguably the worst team in the league to watch to being the most entertaining team in the league.

The post Harry Kane era was always going to be tough. We knew we needed a rebuild and phase 1 is always the hardest!

I'm not convinced Ange is the man to finish off the rebuild and manage us to success, but from a high level overview, he has changed the club for the better and laid some very decent foundations for the next man.

Yeah, but they plaaaaayed rEAlly well mayte.

Doesn't matter the manager before and the manager after got better results.

Mate - thanks - that's a lovely thing you said about me.

And yes, I support my club and the people in it as long as they are here and representing us without disrespecting the club - unlike some on here I think the bulk of players and management are here to do the best for the club they can and so why wouldn't i support them in trying to do that.

Look, kind of fair points - but the context of what he was saying it, in response to one of our players giving an interview days after we won, is not fucking normal fan behaviour.

There is a fine line between venting, and taking every single opportunity to bitch and moan about anything and everything.

I know you know that - in your line of work I'm sure you see that kind of thing all the time.

So whilst i agree with your general point, and I will change how I put things across in the future - i.e that its not the kind of fan behaviour I vibe with - I have seen 100 of said posters' comments and there it just a bunch of negative shit that doesnt really come across as someone who supports the team

Lol at him. How about just sound out to the coaches or Ange and let them know it will be the best of everyone if he can play 15-20 minutes less every game if he's so not 100%? So you know Moore can play too?

Rocket science? Ffs! Beyond beliefs. Thats why I am no longer trusting on Ange and the coaching team for long term after this season. How would they have not seen this problem but constantly playing him to the ground?

The lack of fitness-oriented rotation Ange seems to be capable of is amateurish at best.

Number 1+2 have nothing to do with Ange and more to do with Levy's dictates.
3 is bullshit he has made us one of the most open teams at the back, like everywhere on the pitch we have little to no organisation. The fact we were lucky not to be one goal down in the first minute for second time in three matches shows this.

Ange is just hot air and that is all he is. His press conferences are full BS where he outright lies about things such as injuries. He also uses as long as possible to answer most questions.

Spurs are not a too different side to when he got here possibly one of the worst crimes is he has left us without organisation.

Ahhh Rooster - whilst I am Antipodean, I have followed the EPL for decades, and even lived on White Hart Lane. Great times!

You should be thankful that whilst Tottenham fans like to think they're a deserving club (and they are successful financially and with support), having Ange on board allows the growth of interest in the club, unless of course you're xenophobic.

Tottenham have either being medicore for years, OR underachieved for years... but I am not sure which one it is... what's your take?

On the subject of telling me to get the fuck out of here... I appreciate your desire to be a 'gatekeeper' of appropriate supportership.

I'm sure when with other non english managers were installed, this forum would have had other nationalities following the club, and posting their thoughts? Unless of course, English wasn't their first language.

Anyway... it seems you are interested in my history, as you searched what I like to post on. So to give some further context, I too have followed a team that for nigh on 50 years failed to have success (after being very successful in the 50's and 60's) and finally won a trophy/premiership in 2021. The relief was palpable.

This forum reads EXACTLY the same as that forum (Demonland)... the same gnashing of teeth about the capability of the manager, the same posturing about who has more right to support a club. The same people going off the 'eye-test' versus those using 'data' in how they wish to interpret whether the club can win something or not. The same wringing of hands when there is a slump, the same failing to take into account how injuries impact performance, or other contextual nuances....etc etc.

Following sport is the same around the world... Setting a club up for success is the same around the world.

It needs stability and it needs an environment that promotes learning and psychological safety when learning...

Ange is a proven winner... and whilst there is a strong yearning for immediate success from the fan base... growth is NEVER linear, as much as we would like it to be... I can only imagine the reasons, the players are still playing for him... And whilst they are, then he is the right manager at this given point in time.
That proven winner will be gone after this season and you will be too. Great times!

They’ve played 40% less games than us. Its not even close to a fair comparison.
I’m not even sure what a fair comparison would be in this case…? The facts are we played more games than Bournemouth and they have a smaller squad with less quality than ours. Another fact is they’re doing much better in the league than us right now. Another fact is last season when played one game per week for pretty much all the season, we had 47 points and that includes that freak start of the season when we won like 8 games in 10, compared to Bournemouth’s 43 this season. So objectively speaking Iraola has done a very, very good job with a lot less resources. If anything, they’re SURELY more consistent than any of our seasons under Postecoglou.

Football is emotional and irrational. I tend think let people be a fan in the way they want to be unless they're actively being a dick. For example, the fans who were screaming "fat cunt" at Ange - dickhead move. Straight up unacceptable. Fans who think Brennan Johnson is shit at football and say so, fine. As someone who does a job where you are relentlessly criticised and not that well compensated, I can't pretend my heart bleeds.

It's all just tribalism and attachment and bread and circuses at the end of the day. Again, none of it is really rational and I don't really try to understand people's individual relationships with a club. Some people think you're a gooner if you say we're crap, others think you're a gooner if you pretend we're great when we aren't.

Again, there are limits to it ... Zomb was on occasion funny but some of his stuff also crossed in to nasty and discriminatory territory.

If we maintain top 4 form and narrowly lose ab EL tie - he will be here next year.
Just as players can take a while to get accustomed to the PL - so can managers.
If he starts badly next year- then he will be let go.

To be absolutely clear, he should still be sacked. End of the season, or European elimination.

I think regardless of how the season plays out, Postecoglou will be back. I the team has accepted injuries as being the reason for Spurs performance.
