Injuries don't help but, they was used as an excuse at times for piss poor performance levels.
The team has been poor all season, with or without Injuries.
Team cannot defend properly because of the open nature of the tactics, manager isn't really good enough to get take the club to where it needs to be.
Having said that, nor is our chairman good enough either, club needs change at management level across the club and that is a fact.
But we beat manure , city and dippers when we had players out. So which one is it?

Yeah, but they plaaaaayed rEAlly well mayte.

steve irwin thumbs up GIF

Doesn't matter the manager before and the manager after got better results.
Er - Australia's result at the world cup wasn't actually that important. He used the world cup as a template to prepare Australia for winning the Asian Cup (This is a continental title similar to the Euro's although I know you will think it's a relatively unimportant piece of silverware).

Football is emotional and irrational. I tend think let people be a fan in the way they want to be unless they're actively being a dick. For example, the fans who were screaming "fat cunt" at Ange - dickhead move. Straight up unacceptable. Fans who think Brennan Johnson is shit at football and say so, fine. As someone who does a job where you are relentlessly criticised and not that well compensated, I can't pretend my heart bleeds.

It's all just tribalism and attachment and bread and circuses at the end of the day. Again, none of it is really rational and I don't really try to understand people's individual relationships with a club. Some people think you're a gooner if you say we're crap, others think you're a gooner if you pretend we're great when we aren't.

Again, there are limits to it ... Zomb was on occasion funny but some of his stuff also crossed in to nasty and discriminatory territory.

I mean, yes screaming fat cunt at someone in person is very different to going online and calling the club and everyone in it a bunch of pussies.

But I genuinely don't think that as an online community, we all just have to be ok with letting people vent however they want. There are lines - right - you want to vent and be racist on here - nope, you want to be homophobic, nope, misogynistic - nope... so there are lines to the irrational reactions and for me, one of those lines is calling some guy a pussy because he's talking about his experience of playing too many games. Its not even venting - its just being a dick for dick's sake.

Venting is healthy but only if you're doing it for a cathartic experience.

You deserve to be better compensated for the work you do btw.

Neither of those things are as big a factor in how well the teams play when half of the first team squad is out injured as the number of games they have to play.
perhaps having more than one tactic (which every other team know how we are going to play) may help when injuries happen (some caused by Ange's Kamikaze style/poor rotation etc). EPL is infinitely harder league than anything else Ange has coached in.

I think the PL is a harder league than any coach has coached in before the PL. It's demanding with even the teams at the bottom being very capable of winning when at their best or top teams not at their best.

I dont know if Ange will succeed at Spurs. I think he has some definate problems that need to be addressed. It's crazy to think everything is known. People should continually be learning. Perhaps he has and will be a much better coach from the tough experiences. At Spurs or maybe elsewhere.

He's basically started from the bottom and moved through the grades. It will be interesting to one day hear what took him by surprise when he finally got a go at the top of the pyramid. There must things all coaches thought they knew and then here find out they really didn't know it all.

I wouldn't even say he's moved through the grades.
He's literally gone from scavenging off the bottom of a dirty pond straight to a tank full of sharks, killer whales, giant fuck off squids and a Kraken or two.
He is well out of his league.

Fair chance we could have a fully fit squad from next week onwards. Since getting his players back, the results have instantly improved so hopefully it continues to trend this way.

I'm amazed by how many people didn't see this coming but we are here now so lets move forward together. On the same point, Ange has no excuses now for not getting consistent results with this squad available. We should be going through in Europa while also moving up the prem table most weeks. Thats how it works. No agendas, no taking sides, we finally have a fair playing field! Ange has a team that can compete so lets see how he gets on! He'll be gone in May if he doesn't make it work from here.
