Ange has had a very large hand in his own injury crisis- poor squad construction, refusal to rotate, strange subs that seem to harm player fitness, running favorites into the ground, rushing players back from injury. It's not reasonable to state that the injury crisis is simply an incredible bit of unluck.
Sorry but I don't agree. Poor squad construction? What has that to do with losing 50% of your squad?
Refusal to rotate? Who hasn't he rotated apart from Porro and Kulusevski?
Strange subs that seem to harm player fitness? You what?
Running favourites into the ground. I'm assuming you're talking about Porro and Kulusevski? What choice did he have with Porro? With Udogie injured he had to play Spence left, as Davies was either playing in VDV's spot or was injured himself. Kulusevski very similar, either having to play on the right as BJ was injured, or centrally because Madison was injured.
Rushing players back from injury? You might have a case with VDV, though I think there's an underlying issue there, but who else has he rushed back? If you're referring to Romero, you do know that his latest injury had nothing to do with his previous one yes? He recovered from the toe injury, his current one is his quadriceps. Totally unrelated and nothing to do with "rushing him back."
If you look at the nature of the injuries we've had, you almost have to say we've been incredibly unlucky. I can understand the accusations concerning hamstrings where our defenders are concerned, but not with our wingers who are expected to be sprinting regularly. Here's a list of the injuries suffered;
Solanke: Knee injury suffered by twisting it when shooting.
Dragusin: ACL went when his planted foot slipped.
Odobert: Hamstring after playing less than 2 full matches.
Vicario: Broken ankle after collision.
Romero: Thigh injury, following toe ligament damage.
Mikey Moore: Severe illness, no injury.
VDV: Hamstring.
Richarlison: Take your pick here, he's had numerous different ones.
Udogie: Hamstring
Werner: Hamstring
Johnson: Calf injury
I can't be bothered to put anymore up, but you can see that there's a variety of different injuries in there, the majority of which you can look at and feel we've been incredibly unlucky with, particularly with them all happening at pretty much the same time.
To flat out ignore this is just disingenuous.
