Ange has a very strange approach .

He allegedly does not spend time on the training ground leaving it to the coaches .Yet he does not take his own coaching team with him and will work with whoever is there at the time. This was an absolutely ridiculous approach to take right from day one . It makes zero sense to me and alarm bells should have been going off immediately, this begs one question.

Why did I back him for 18 months ?

I really have no idea , I really don’t
I said EXACTLY this, a very long time ago. I got shot down it literally makes zero sense. If you have a system that has such specific requirements it would be absolutely vital to have folk charged with teaching and implementing be steeped in the system for years. Many of the things he does including the never resting go totally against the ALL recieved wisdom. It killed me people couldn't simply see it made fuckall sense. 😔

Most people on here agreed at the start of the season that they would prefer than we make a decent run at the cups, rather than battling for 6th (4th if a miracle happens).

With the injuries it was clear we had to choose a path - focus on cups or focus on 6th.

We've gone all in on the cups. 1 semifinal and now into the quarters of Europa.

With any luck, the board would have seen the impact of the injury crisis this year, and assuming we qualify for Europe; will actually give Ange a full squad.
Inject this enthusiasm into my veins!! You have made my Monday morning!

I don’t know if you’ve seen this but this is Ange being frustrated

😂

Another thing that is hard to understand about his style. After the game he said we were too passive in the second half like there was nothing he could do about it. Why not take a step forward and get into the players?

He had 2 of the leaders group on his side of the pitch second half, get into them as well…leaders do your job and lead.

There was definitely NEVER any discussion of that nature on here, especially one where the majority of active posters gave an opinion like that on the same question, framed the same way. Bizarre recollections for you to have.

Of course, we all want to WIN the cup. But the point here was that many fans wanted the club to go full force for a trophy, instead of prioritizing finishing 4th above all else.

Firing Jose b4 the cup final was criminal; and clear indication that the board values $$$$ over trophies. Winning the Cup would likely have triggered an automatic renewal in Jose's contract - and it would have cost the club an extra 20m+ to fire him.

It's refreshing to have a coach openly say that he's not here to finish 4th. He's here to bring trophies to Spurs.
So apart from a decent league cup run weve got nothing really. Bumbled through EL with some dreadful performances playing nobodies, battered in league cup semi final. Battered in the fa cup. Looked totally clueless.
Looking like we wont make it past quarters of EL. If thats all in on cups wouldbt like to see us half arse it

Cup over 4th all day.

No cups and 14th to 17th no fucking way.

I agree with people writing that Ange is gone and he has probably been told. He's here for the EL and then that's it.

Winning the EL makes no difference to his Spurs job prospects. It probably would help him in the hunt for his next job though. So everyone still has a reason to be engaged in the battle.

Forget the terrible season thus far for a minute. Ange is finished here because his ideas have been shown not to work. And every man and his dog know exactly how to beat his set ups. Ange has also repeatedly said he won't change and his deeds at Spurs proved this.

The team Angeball would need to be effective at top level would come with a ridiculous price tag. It ain't happening at this club or any other club. And even if you got the miracle team, because of the intensity you'd still be dealing with injuries etc. The team would never catch the perfect storm.

Ange is gone because he hasn't, and cant take this club to anywhere near supporters want it to go.

Separation is the best thing for all parties. The only thing that will progress from here is anger, blame and bitterness.

The problem Ange now has is that his ideas have been shown up. It won't be easy in any league he finds him self in. The code to his system is freely available watching him manage Spurs games.

Ange will be changing or he will not be managing in any serious league. I just dont think that has dawned on him yet. It will and very soon.

Does anyone know what he has told to his coaches and how often he meets with them giving them specific instructions?

Well, neither do I.

He's an awful coach and man-manager, I'm so annoyed that I got taken in by him, at the beginning. I gave him the benefit of the doubt until he turned on us before the Man C game last year. He's a fraud, totally out of his depth, and even if we manage to win the EL (unlikely, but you never know, stranger things have happened in football), it will be in spite of Ange, not because of him.
By the way dont be hard on yourself for wanting it to work. I don't think you were totally fooled. I met him.and told everyone I liked him. He was very affable in person the kids loved him. But the man I'd met and the one I saw in post match interview were very diffrent so it took a bit of time to work out which of these personality traits were genuine. I just started seperate the man I liked with the shocking tactical stuff then came tge disembling and the utterly cavalier way he dealt with Djed Spence. On what simply seem the say of two very weird blokes indeed. Spence has had some real oddballs to navigate Postacogluu Warnock Farke Conte. Cooper he thrives under. This tells me Spence is not the odd one in the sentence.
