I had a complete tear up with some supposed Spurs fan on Bluesky arguing that chanting you don't know what you're doing against Chelsea was 'hate speech level bad behaviour ' and was why we lost. I asked her if we should ask a black person if they felt it was equitable with being called an N word. She said it was, whatever a person of colour would say. I actually hate some of these people.
Bet she was Australian.

Yep, beat Utd and Brentford twice each.

Only 2 stand out wins all season were Villa and Man City and both those were when they were struggling. 6 of our remaining 8 games are against the top 11 so anyone expecting a revival i wouldn't bother.
That's why I can't see us getting anything from Frankfurt either. Hard to tell how good they are and their form is a bit shaky but they're still third in the Bundesliga. Clearly a competent side and we struggle against all somewhat decent teams. Maybe could get a half decent result at home but they are known for a having a loud atmosphere at home and this team will crumble under those conditions.

So...Which would you choose....

We win Europa league and Ange stays for another 18 months before getting the P45, or immediate sacking after our loss in the semi final?

:kanehand:
Immediate sacking. As nice as a trophy would be i think he would have us in a proper relegation fight if 1 or 2 of the promoted sides are vaguely competent.
We've been dreadful for over a year, its not bad luck its just dreadful coaching and management, it wont get better on his watch now. Plus looking at him for another 18 months, hearing his excuses and old man shouts at clouds homespun wisdom would finish me off as a fan i think.

There's no way on earth he lasts 18 months after this season. Even with a ropey league win.
18 games would be a push.
I suspect there will be less shit in the PL next season which will make it even harder for us to string 2 or 3 wins together.

I think you may have misunderstood the 'what would you rather' concept of the OP's post.

Basically, would you rather we win the EL but have to endure another 18 months of Ange ball, or lose the semi-final and get a new manager immediately.

Unequivocally I would bail out of the ropey league ASAP if it is a fixed 18 months no matter what.
We would be in very real danger of never recovering him the damage.

Can't believe this cunt had us in 14th position and cupped his hands to the away fans for a disallowed goal.

That is mental.
Put that on a T-Shirt and sell it outside the club shop

This 100%, but that's another Levy fuck up
Agree. I think this situation clearly shows how bad the board (and Levy) are at handling football operations.

if you want to be ruthless and sack managers for the slightest signs of incompetence (Nuno after few games, Ramos as well even when he won a cup, Mourinho before a cup final) then be that and be consistent until you find the manager who is delivering the results you are looking for.
The worst thing is to flip/flop with your approach, and ultimately act patient with the WRONG manager (i.e., Ange). This is not the situation, or the manager you need to be patient with and you are causing more harm acting as such. Roman and Boehly are 100% ruthless and do not give a $#!7 what anyone thinks.
This underlines the problem we have with Levy and ENIC. Football is a side note to the whole picture. Their main focus is $$$, while football only counts when there is too much noise.

As I mentioned before, this is a historic chance for us to win the EL if we have the manager to help the players deliver. This fraud clearly does not have it. They told us before Carling cup semi-final that we have a chance to get to the final, let's not act, then what happened? Then they told us we have a chance to get the FA cup, then what?
Now they run the same stupid delusional dream again, when they, and the whole world, know it will be the same outcome. What do they say about INSANITY?. I will reference the same example again, in 2012 chelsea were in similar situation when they made the decision to sack AVB and put Di Matteo in charge, that was enough to steer them to win the CL. A change at this crucial stage with few games remaining the competition can be enough spring to help the players win it. If you continue the status quo, then, you are INSANE by definition.

This has to be THE most insane part of all of it. We have got worse and worse and worse but he's backed this one.
There's nothing in his Spurs career, or prior 30 years as a manager that shows he has the ability or experience to fix it. He's never managed at this level and hasn't even really had a league job for longer than 3 years either.
If you're gonna back an aisling manager, you back one who maybe has some credit in the bank. Jol, Redknapp, Poch, even Conte all earned a bit of time if they wanted it.

The issue I see with this is what manager in their right mind would sign for a chairman that ruthless? If they have a dodgy 6-7 games then they're done.
Add to that the payout to managers every time we sack them.
I'm all for perseverance, Fergie at Utd, that Spanish bloke at Woolwich, Emery at Villa.....but you have to make a decent appointment in the first place.
In hindsight, Nuno should definitely have been longer. Guaranteed that if he hadn't already managed us, he'd be most fans no.1 choice now.

I genuinely thought the injuries in Nov, Dec and massively impacted the squad and serious criticism of Ange was unfair. And that he was badly let down by the club in Jan, and it was not all his fault. But since Feb, and players have returned, we look clueless. The football is disjointed, slow and predictable.
perhaps consider the criticism of ange in november and december wasn't unfair, it was just ahead of the curve. the things you mention were obvious very early on if you weren't huffing ange's farts

i'm gonna be totally honest and call me a shitty fan if you like but i don't want to win our first trophy in years with this fat cunt whether he gets sacked right after or not. it's a shitty europa cup anyway. i hate saying i want us to lose but fuck this shit. winning with ange would be awful
