Didn't watch the Pool game and won't be watching another league game this season.

Why would I waste my time tuning in when clearly the manager and players are now treating the PL as glorified training sessions? It's a complete embarrassment and an insult to fans.

Having this fat chancer in charge of the team is the lowest point I can remember as a Spurs fan. It's so bad that even a EL win will probably feel hollow.

Ange has created a divide with the coaching staff and players on one side and fans/media on the other. Like we are out of line to criticise a historically bad PL campaign and 17th place finish all because we've beaten a few tin pot sides in Europe's B competition and may go on to win a trophy.

The guy is a grifter and his exit can't come soon enough.
I watched the first half.
2nd half I went outside and cleaned the BBQ for 2025 summer time.
I had more fun scrubbing up cast iron grill plates in a bucket of soapy water than watching them rip us apart.

It's a surprise to me that the players haven't turned on him yet. Normally by now you start to get the reports of dissatisfaction with the training methods etc.

I can only assume that Ange has everyone brainwashed and drinking the Kool Aid at Hotspur Way. It is an impressive achievement if you think about it.

Maybe he rules through fear. Assistants shit scared to speak up and players get an easy ride because his suicidal tactics reflect badly on him rather than them so they are not bothered enough to kick up a fuss.

And with EL still ongoing there has always been something to cling to to justify this disgraceful season.

Tbh I think maddison has a long time ago. Did read somewhere a while back him and ange had a bust up. Unconfirmed. Tbh I just think players are being professional. Our manager is like basil fawlty. Clueless.

Well he's managed to keep a lid on it way better than much higher level managers have done in the past (Conte/Mourinho). Maybe it's because he very rarely directly throws players under the bus in interviews (Werner being the exception and no one cares about him).

I just feel really sad that Levy isn’t brave enough to sack him today and increase our chances of winning the Europa drastically.

All because he is too scared we don’t win it and the narrative then becomes that Levy made a huge mistake sacking this fraud.

He knows he should sack him but he doesn’t want to be accountable like he was with the Jose sacking.
Thing is, sticking with him is it's own gamble in that respect, because there's every chance we go out to Bodo Glimt in the semis and then he's open to the accusation that he cocked up by sticking with a lame duck of a manager that has overseen the worst League campaign in recent memory.

Maybe it is because the media are not looking for it. In general the journalist in the press room seem to love him because he gives them plenty of column inches to fill every. The fact is if you compare the stories Alisdair Gold was writing about Conte towards the end compared to Ange you would think Conte was the manager that lost every week.

It simple Ange provides them with enough complete BS every week they don't need to go looking each week for stories.

The following is just some of the sermons he has delivered to the press room:
The evil of Camera Phones.
The evilness of VAR
The existence of a Mole
How he finished 5th last season while being 16th this season.
The media agenda against Spurs.
How you trust an experienced plumber

Every week he provides them with a new story and no one wants to miss out because they have written how poor his tactics are or his training methods are.

I dont doubt Levys incompetence to make shit appointments but really bored of the false equivalence. This sort of league season has only been seen 3 or 4 times since the war. This isnt Jol, Redknapp or Poch or even Conte or AVB. This isnt normal. He's just a useless manager.
The Blob is atrocious, yes. But even better managers would struggle with the lowest wage-to-turnover ratio in the PL...and with that squad. Sure, we wouldn't be 16th with 19 defeats, but we wouldn't be top 4 either...shit will be shit, you can't polish a turd and all that.

End of the day, the manager and players aren't the No 1 issue. We've had 16 managers and how many different players since 2001...won the one Milky Way cup in 24 years. Who's the common denominator, though eh?

Until everything changes, nothing changes.

Mate I agree, it's been an easy run, but when you analyse it, 'if' we win the trophy then it's silverware in our cabinet. Instead of focussing on negatives such as it's only the Ropey league, a top 4 club shouldn't be satisfied with that, it was an easy run. We should just be keen to win, and take every cup seriously, without belittling the thing before we've even won it.
The one thing I'd say is EF were a decent opponent. 3rd in Bundesliga is a respectable team. I think they'd be a few places above us in the PL.

We always hear about how bad the English press are (especially with the national team) but they have been a right soft touch with Ange.

It's annoying that he will get through his whole tenure without being properly called out.

Disagree! I can enjoy supporting a Poch Tottenham. Or a Conte first season Tottenham. I want Levy gone, but I can enjoy that. I cannot enjoy supporting the Blob's rank incompetence

Winning the Europa gives us a great chance of getting a better calibre of manager. I hope the players realise this and give everything possible to win it. The flip side is they might realise they will get punted and better players will replace them.
Pal, we got Nuno then Ange cause nobody serious wanted to come here. Levy had to literally beg Jose & Conte, give them the paycheck of a lifetime and make false promises (not in writing).

Nagelsmann clearly rejected us despite the club's lame attempt at disguising the truth. Enrique, Zidane, Xabi Alonso, Simone Inzaghi wouldn't shag us with a borrowed dick.

If Thomas Frank, Iraola and Marco Silva got any sense, they'll stay put.
