I really think people are getting unnecessarily het up over Postecoglou and this Europa competition.

If we get to the final, or somehow get past whichever last snd formidable hurdle, not for a second will I be cheering Postecoglou's name or attribute anything to him. It's not possible.

There is nothing on which I am prepared to say is a clear sign of Postecoglou's footprint and input,so if we do go further, It's all on how much this group of players can produce, potentially for 3 games, at the end of a dog sh!t of a season.

Where that falls down is that Levy and ENIC have owned us for nearly a quarter of a century, and since 2008 managers here have got us European qualification nearly every season. Including Jose and Conte who expect more than just that.

So to be 16th, having lost over half our league games for the first time since 1934 has our woes this season firmly on the man in the managers position. How my countrymen can defend him. ENIC aren't why we're 16th and falling further. Ange Postecoglou is the reason.

but postecoglou is the worst 'manager' ive ever seen in football. i dont think he even deserves to be called a manager, hes a waffling conman, and guess what? levy has fallen for it.

the aussie patriotism for him is fucking strange, so cringe. maybe its cos they have fuck all else to follow in football? its fucking pathetic to be honest.

If you wanted all that you've been supporting the wrong club all your life lol. I had hell growing up around Goober and man utd wankers. Spurs have been properly good for 5/6 years of my 30 supporting them ffs.

Ill enjoy this win if we manage it. Does it erase the utter shit this season has been? Absolutely not. Do I still want the manager fired and the ownership gone? Fucking right i do. Am i going to enjoy winning our first trophy for 17 years if we manage it? Abso-fucking-lutely.

I hope we win it obviously. Its a monkey off our back and CL place but lets be real the semi finalists are us in our worst league season since relegation in 1977, Man Utd in their worst league season since relegation in 1974, Bodo fucking Glimt and there 4,000 capacity stadium and 1 decent team in Bilbao. The league cup is much much tougher to win than this.

Great if we win it but if anyone thinks this justifies the last 14 or 15 months, finishing 16th or 17th, 14 pts from our last 18 games and a record number of defeats they need help. But the people that backed this oaf long after it was obvious he was shite want their moment.
 
Winning the Europa League isn’t going to affect my feelings on Ange.

I don’t enjoy watching the team with him in charge. I don’t enjoy us struggling to create chances, I don’t enjoy us conceding countless stupid goals, I don’t enjoy us losing to every top half team we play, I don’t enjoy being in the stadium anymore. His football is so bad that I can’t get excited, I’ve never skipped more home games than I have this season. We’ve lost so many times in our own stadium under him that I don’t believe it’s worth going most of the time.

That is the only reason I need to get rid of him. Winning a weak EL means fuck all. I want to enjoy watching my team and enjoy winning matches in the best league. I want a team that can go back to winning London derbies not being reduced to celebrating wins over AZ Alkmaar as the high point of a season.

The EL is a big competition but with no CL teams it’s probably easier to win than the FA or League cup. Eintract Frankfurt was to be fair a good result and performance.

Also it can be true that a manager can be poor and also lucky. Look at the great fixtures Southgate got for England. luck and odds are part of the game. You can be a good manager and have no luck and a poor manager and have it go for you.

I also think it’s about time we had some fucking luck.

Well I’ve dived in here on and off during my working day. I have a free 10 minutes.

To summarise.

I’m 2016/2017 we were by far the most efficient pressing team in the premier league.
Over the course of a calendar year we accumulated more points than any other team.

Eric Dier played more minutes during that time than almost any other player.

You can’t “carry” players and achieve that. Every player has to do a job. And do it well.

You then mentioned Wembley and watching Eric Dier being shite.

After that you referred to me “”watching games back then”.
Yes I did. Until covid (and a bit after). I was a season ticket holder. Something you struggled to understand.

I didn’t flip flop. If anything I held on too long. And I held on too long because of what this club did to Poch

I’m not saying I don’t rate what he did, I’m saying it’s a crime that he never won anything here and no the fact that we got to a CL didn’t make up for that.

So managing with one hand tied behind your back when you have Chelsea and Man City having black money pumped in. That is why he couldn’t win a trophy. He developed the best team we have had in recent years using mostly players already here.
