To state the obvious, it will certainly get far easier to justify if we do with the EL. I want Ange gone asap, but I do think some on this board underestimate how massive that would be for the club.The longer this goes on, the more I think Ange is here for next season.
I get that levy may just be giving him time to deliver on his “winning things” promise, but two things:
1. He’s had plenty of chances to sack him so far this season and hasn’t pulled the trigger.
2. He’s hardly shy of sacking managers during a cup run - see Jose as evidence.
He may just be waiting until summer to open up the market of managers a bit, but again, he’s not shy of putting a caretaker in charge.
I really think the signs are pointing towards another season of Ange.
And before the drama begins, I’m not saying I’m in agreement with this. I’d be going all out to get Unai Emery instead.
I've posted before that my view is if we win the EL, we will start the next season with Ange in charge.
