All of you just need to take a fucking minute to enjoy the trophy. I cannot grasp how this moment has become a massive cunt off about who is right about what and who.

And there's certain cunts on here deliberately pouring petrol on the fire and they know who they are.

yes and he should have been banned long before now. He comes on here to instigate and antagonise. How the fuck is he allowed to get away with it

Read the room you little rat, look around you. Everyone fucking hates you.

I know it's great isn't it xx

Anyway back on topic, here's a lovely pic for you and for everyone we can all get behind:

"loser mentality" is being fine and dandy with getting turned over 21 times in a season. "loser mentality" is doing a favour to a guy because finally we can be the chirpy cunt to our mates. "loser mentality" is saying you couldn't even contest winnable home league games against relegated sides because you "had to prioritise the Europa league".

This cup win is amazing, I was just as happy as anyone, my old man has waited his whole lifetime to see us lift a European trophy again and I'm more happy for him than anyone. But this doesn't erase the last 9 months in the league. We will go the way of Everton if we don't do something about it now.

No one is saying it erases anything, bro. You are pontificating that winning a trophy over 95% of pro footballers will never win wont mean absolutely everything to the players?

Absurb - you are projecting.

It doesnt mean that much to YOU because of our league position.

It will mean everything to our group of players. absolutely everything - in many ways, because of attitudes like you have put across here.

You think this picture makes me mad? I was telling people on here on Wednesday night that they need to get a grip and start being positive and start to believe. I also stated that I hope Ange rubs the journos noses in it. I still do not think he’s a good manager but I was sure happy for him on Wednesday night

What makes you all so sure that Ange is going to fail next season in the prem?

Surely there is a part of you that sees we are breaking new ground here and that just maybe, we can reach new heights with a full squad and full buy in with a now winning mentality.

The main point I want to make is, it's okay to be wrong. It's okay for you to be wrong thinking Ange wasn't the guy, and to give him a chance. And it's okay for me to be wrong, thinking he is, and to eventually part ways if he's not and it doesn't work out.

But isn't it worth the risk to try? To dare is to do, isn't it?
I really don’t want to put down winning this competition and what it means to this fanbase, especially as I’m getting ready soon to head to the parade. But taking the emotion out of it, does us beating Man Utd who we had already beaten 3 times this season really mean we’re going to suddenly start performing consistently in the prem ?

Sorry I just have to be honest, I don’t see anything changing with our league form were he to stay. I would have massive concerns how he’s going to manage prem with an even tougher European competition. He’s had enough time to show how he manages the complexities of the premier league and it’s just too much for him. Hes elite at getting players up for a big occasion, I see why he’s done well in international football. But that just doesn’t work for a 38 game premier league campaign, you need a lot more to get consistent results and performances.

You say give him a chance, but how long does he get? If he starts badly next season he would be out the door pretty quickly and then we’re hiring another coach mid season to pick up the pieces. I think it’s just best for everyone for a clean break after the Brighton game, let him enjoy the scenes today and the support on the last day and go out a hero rather than a juande Ramos situation where he’s mostly remembered for the wrong reasons rather than a trophy winning spurs manager.

I'm not saying it means nothing to them. I'm saying if you think the players would be incapable of contextualising the reasons for why he should go, and come to some level of understanding on behalf of the club and fans that it's for the best interests of the club, as highly, HIGHLY paid professionals, you're romanticising the relationship they've built with Ange in favour of actual cold, hard logic. 21 league defeats is that cold, hard logic. This is great for them, great for Ange, great for the fans. It's time to part ways and find a serious manager. There is no way we can build sustainable success getting turned over in more than half our league games, we are not going to get a run to a final that favourable again in a long, long time. We were insanely lucky to come up against a United side who are, on balance, even shitter than we are, despite being a point above us.

I think we have some idea. Their squad is unequivocally worth much less than ours and we're 17th.

You seem to have an idea. I don’t.

Would Glasner have finished 5th the first season after Kane left? Hard to tell. Seems a very good coach though so he’d have had a chance.

Then again, most people thought he was getting sacked this summer when they struggled after selling Olise. They definitely went sideways in the PL this year.

No I am not, I have repeatedly said the last few days - he should probably go.

But cold hard logic NEEDS to have context - we have massively prioritised a competition in favour of another, the way other managers used to do for simply trying to get into the CL.

LUCK had nothing to do with anything and it feels like you are just making excuses as to why this trophy doesnt count because you're scared others and the owners are going to use it as a reason to keep him on.

I get it, but to not even be able to see for them, why it might be a hard choice, is kind of single-minded.

HE said he wanted to turn us into winners; he did what no one in recent times has done. Thats pretty fucking special and if you don't think that might be a stepping stone to building something then fine, but I bet the players do.

That in itself is why I think Glasner has proven his mettle far beyond Ange. Glasner actually got to coach Olise for a few months, would likely have him factored into his plans and had to find a way to get a team performing that had just had its heart ripped out. Ange never managed Kane, so I don't really think it's terribly relevant to the conversation of how well he did in his first season with us. Not to mention the defence was far and away a more glaring issue both before and after Kane had left than the attack, particularly as Son was still playing very well last season up until he came back from the Asian Games. I'd say considering he had no European football to contend with, he actually somewhat underperformed last season considering we'd actually come 8th the year before with 3 different managers and a champions league campaign to contend with. He allowed a Villa Side that got to the ECL semis to finish ahead of us. We also went out of both cups early, so we weren't competitive on multiple fronts.

Glasner had no Europe to contend with this year

I don't know if this has been pointed out yet, but..

Has anyone else noticed that we're set to finish "top 4" in the Australian (upside-down) table and have qualified for the CL?

We've seen it before with Ramos. Kept him on too long and it was 2 points from 8 games the following season. Could genuinely see that next season too. Players can talk about how happy they are and how much they're a family and playing for the manager, but that doesn't project out onto the pitch enough. Just says to me they're too comfortable. We've lost 25 games in all comps this season. Winning a major trophy doesn't negate that for me. Some of the results this season have been a disgrace, Ipswich, Leicester at home, Everton, Tamworth, wolves home and away.

Again, this doesn't mean I'm not grateful to Ange and will always have love for him for getting us over the line. But I don't think he's the guy to get us to the top. He's certainly never going to win the pl and/or CL in the next 5 years.

Can't be talking about me mate, I'm not the one dismissing this trophy and doing my level best to pour scorn on this manager in here ;)
