hes a master of spinning things.

every game was about winning before as hes such a winner and hes focused on building a winning culture....all of a sudden hes built a winning culture off the back of losing! first person in history to do it...if you believe him.

he really does have the simpletons eating out the palm of his hand. fair play to him, he knows how to exploit idiots!
Look at tbe post match interview yesterday, when asked about the season. He knew full well the league has been an embarrassment to tbe history of this club, yet he managed to say it had been outstanding.
You are correct, the simpletons think he is turning this team around next season, he isn't, because he isn’t up to it, sadly if levy continues with him , then we will all see and feel the fall out.

yep. look at the way he even says it! can see the gaslighting desperation in his eyes! hes fuming that not everyone is fucking thick as shit.

as has been said, id have far more respect for him if he was honest, but hes a sociopath so youre not going to get that, hes seriously insecure. to be honest i couldnt give a shit about any of that i dont care about his problems as a person, the bottom like is hes a fucking shit football manager and shouldnt be anywhere near this level, as the league has shown! weve broke a record for most defeats and not to be relegated.

if we'd been sitting around top five he would've shit on this cup and given long speeches about the importance of playing at the highest levels, etc. blah blah blah.. ange is in it for ange
Yep. A reminder of what he said after the Fulham league cup game early last season when he got some stick for fielding a weakened team but we were flying in the league. Blokes a bullshitter, everything he says is self preservation and self aggrandisement.

I’m here because I want to create a club that has the opportunity to win things on a yearly basis,” he said. “There’s a difference. Us winning a Carabao Cup and finishing 10th is not what I think this club is about.”

Has anyone found a clip or quote where Ange actually thanks the fans?

I've heard him use "club" and talk in generalities.

But since the win, I can't remember him thanking us directly.

He may well have; I just can't recall it.

You can't debate with Angefans anymore really ....

We play BADLY and LOSE with full squad and it's the players
We play BADLY and LOSE with a number of players injured and it's the INJURIES

I mean, why even bother debate???? I hope he just leave and take his fans with him.
FYI Angefans ... I did not read any of your quotes/replies. My post simply says "no more debating".

WHY ARE YOU REPLYING?

It's easy to see how our fanbase can be so divided given the fact that he's just delivered our first trophy in 17 years, and first European trophy in 41 years.

That being said, it's hard to look passed the following:
- Most losses in a Premier League campaign (22) since it's inception 33 years ago.
- Worst points total (38) in a Premier league campaign.
- 2nd Most goals conceded (65) in a Premier League campaign.
- Worst League position (17th) at the end of the season.

I honestly was very optimistic when Ange arrived, and have nothing against him personally, but the stats are pretty hard to argue with..

The bad far outweighs the good. The problem is we so rarely win a trophy our fans can’t be objective.

If Woolwich or Chavs had this exact same season we’d be fucking slaughtering them for even considering keeping a manager with this record over 2 years. But when it’s us, we think oh Ange won a trophy, it’s such a fucking miracle let’s ignore the evidence and keep him.

What an incredibly stupid asshole I am!

buttholes keep GIF

I stand by this club and actually seriously believe that the many injuries could have played a role in this club's decline to such an extent that it's unbelievable.

Are You Stupid GIF

They haven't even reached the otherwise necessary milestone to avoid relegation! Not even that!
And then I, the simpleton, believe that winning the Europa League means anything!
Ridiculous!

christmas that is ridiculous GIF by Momentum Church

This club, for which a complete idiot like me wastes his free time, only "wins" this cup because they got to play against teams even worse than Tottenham!
Most recently, against the world-unknown club Bodo, right?
Not to mention those characters from Germany, that village club from Hesse. A club in whose state apple wine is considered a delicacy – can't be a real football club!
They're probably actually synchronized swimmers!

can't believe it idris elba GIF

Since I'm also from this state in Germany, I hope you understand my cluelessness as I navigated the forum!

My idiotic belief that a) there were too many injured, absolutely crucial players last season and b) winning the Europa League is something very special for me, without considering that if Tottenham or even Frankfurt win the trophy, it can't be a serious trophy.

I was always afraid of the football-free period because I love the sport so much.
Now I have until August 16, 2025, to reflect on my inappropriate behavior before I post another pile of garbage on this forum.

I couldn't give a damn whether we won the trophy against United or Cloud Cuckoo Land!
I couldn't care less!
On May 21, 2025, Tottenham Hotspur FC beat 35 – that's thirty-five! – clubs to win the Europa League, thus qualifying for the 2025/26 Champions League!

And next season, I'm predicting that this fabulous club will finish in the top 10 of the PL!

I'm already looking forward to the coming season and am offering to try to get another ticket for a possible match against Eintracht Frankfurt, so that I can humiliate a user in this forum by having to watch a match between two insignificant clubs live.

No offense!

COME ON YOU SPURS!

it always comes down to are we a serious football club or not. as far as winning the league, we are not but if we keep a manager with this record for vibes and pr then we are even less serious than i thought.

Cmon guys what are we doing here??

I've made it clear what I think of him and thought there was ZERO chance he could land a trophy but he did it and did it tweaking his tactics.

The man (when we all thought was deluded and spoke absolute bollocks) stated he would win us a trophy and he did. If someone talks shit but actually backs his talk then how can you even hate?

He's saying now he knows what mistakes we made in the window last summer and we need experience now. I'm not a hater by nature, if someone (even if I completley dislike the person) says something and actually delivers then I mean, I tend to Start believing that ok there's substance behind this.

That's because Woolwich and especially Chelsea, have come to expect more and won't accept less.
Us on the other hand, have come to be grateful for days like Wednesday, we are so excited by the trophy that, we are willing to put up with this car salesman.
Our expectations have been set so low that we put up with a league season like we just have, finished only a few points off of being relegated that should never be tbe case.

how can you look at the football and think there's anything of substance happening on the pitch? this shift away from ange ball has been a disgrace where we just sit ten men in front of goal and don't attack at all. ange finally saw his ideas were getting ripped to shreds weekly and his last hope was to eek out this cup, so his alternative is to sit 10 deep and pray. c'mon man there's nothing there! everyone who knows anything can see it . our disastrous football has only gotten worse as the season has ended. if levy keeps him he's just bowing to the vibes and we'll pay the price again.

Ange was happy after the final to talk about how knockout football demands a more pragmatic style of play but I seem to remember that after we got destroyed by Liverpool in the second leg of the semi he said it was an example of why we shouldn’t abandon his primary way of playing. That trying to be cautious is the reason we got battered.

I think he is just a bit of a bluffer who will simply say anything. Remember when we lost 3-2 to Brighton when leading at half time, he said he’d rather lose than be “falsely rewarded” for being pragmatic. He said he’d never abandon his famous principles but he did, he threw them all in the bin so he could win the EL and I’m glad he did. But from a coaching POV his credibility has been shredded. He used to rage against those who said he needed to change, that his football didn’t work, but in the end they were proved right and he had to change it completely to rescue the season.

If we are going to move away from hardcore Angeball, surely it’s better to bring a new manager with a different idea of football rather than ask Ange to do something he’s never done before? We made that mistake already with Nuno, asking him to play attacking football which he wasn’t capable of doing. And if we are planning to go back to full-on Angeball next season then he will be sacked by October because we’ll be in the relegation zone.

For us Antipodeans who can’t get a sense of the local supports view, I was genuinely surprised the crowd was chanting his name.

Bias aside, I think he gets to start the season. He did what he said he would!
And look, none of us know what performance clauses he has in his contract but apparently he’s just earnt a 2 million bonus for CL qualification. There’s no way he gets a bonus and then gets sacked. Ludicrous.

Did he say that we would finish 17th?

I was fully Ange in after Wednesday and I’m now Ange out again.

It’s about risk assessment and the risk of our form under him continuing is just too great a risk.

If Ange was a manager at another club and we were looking to bring him in after the season he just had, would we?

I am also seeking psychiatric help🕺🕺

You’re on the right Forum mate!

And I don't need him to repent on his knees to the press about this stuff, but if I'm Daniel Levy I want answers to these questions.

What kind of football are we going to play going forward? And I think most critically, how is maintaining player fitness a part of that thought process?

The evidence that Angeball Uber Alles is something that players cannot sustain physically at this level is a compelling case for moving on.
