He’s a very effective manger at the right level ( and at the right time ) in my opinion .
The EPL was neither of those things for him .
He / We lucked out by winning the Europa / UEFA and we should all be eternally grateful for that.

He’ll come again ( and probably win again ) if he chooses to . But he’ll have to have been on a significant upward learning curve to do so at an elite level . And remember 98 % of professional football isn’t at an elite level .
In short : Forever grateful ( for whatever part he played in us winning in Bilbao ) and I’d be surprised if he doesn’t win things in the future; wherever that may be .

My advice would be to enjoy the glory of winning a European trophy like the actual fans have, because it’s the kind of thing that happens once every half century.

He's a crap manager. Di Matteo won the CL which is about fifty times bigger than the EL. Bad managers can and do win cups, many average ones have won the EL. Glasner won it and ended up at fucking Crystal Palace.
