Their potential midfield three of Anderson, Luiz and MGW could be very good for his system. Very physical, all can pass the ball forward quickly.

It’s their defence and keeper which will cause them problems.

He might do.

They will be utter carnage for the first few games, as they look to adapt and then routinely get found wanting at the back.

It's going to be really interesting, and potentially cathartic knowing that Ange did it for us, but eventually we saw the flaws, was rightfully sacked and then he goes to a club that people have turned on of late and completely bombs and their owner starts to run out of ideas.

Nothing but respect for Ange for the cup win and a few things he said about fighting for Spurs against all the noise, and I did enjoy his early press conference, but he wasn't my favourite manager come the end.

Perhaps the MO from Marinakis is to win the Europa and just about survive the league, and thats why he has gone for Ange.
He absolutely wanted what was best for our club and did the job to the best of his abilities. So fair enough to him, and EL win will live forever. But he's ultimately not a PL coach. Will be super interesting I agree

Nottingham Forest's 25/26 season, as a gif...

MGW is in that building!

Don’t even think he’ll get the bounce of those first 10 games; he was an unknown quantity at the time. Everyone knows how to play him now.

They’ve gone from being a tough game to a free meal with this appointment. Craziness.

Gonna be a car crash. Feels like they have gone for quick and available. Should have made the most of Glasner and Silva frustrations at their respective windows and made a play for them

They do not like it at all over on the Forest forums. I'm very intrigued to see where it goes with Ange there.

Absolutely no chance that he will adapt. It'll be Ange-ball all day. Perhaps until they are either get far in Europe or are on the brink of relegation.

As an Aussie, that's been my feeling with this guy as I watched his rise through the ranks. He will feel the injury-plagued time here handicapped him. But I don't think he has the capacity to reflect that he shares the blame for that. But I could be wrong.

LOL

Forest will get an Ange bounce (some very winnable fixtures upcoming) I hope, starting with the Islington Bridesmaids next..

Then when the bravado wears thin & the low key wheezing bully shows up, well, we’ve seen it all before.

Get comfy!

Well I guess now Forest fans will find out just how much Marianakis ACTUALLY CARES about the club like they kept convincing themselves of during the MGW shambles, and NOT just giving jobs to the boys to keep the Greek economy going!!!

My guess is Ange will be Olympiakos manager within 18 months!

It should certainly answer a few questions one way or another, if he takes them down then you'd think the cultists would have to hold their hands up and say "yeah, maybe he's not the messiah that I'd believed he was...", though I suspect they'd come up with some excuse to pardon him.

Conversely, if he has them up and around the top half, then those that mock him would probably have to concede that he's not as hopeless as they'd argued.

I fully expect this to be a catastrophe, and I'm relishing the chaos that we're about to be treated to, I actually don't think he'll make it to the end of the season, as the only chairman mad enough to take him on will also be the chairman that's mad enough to sack him pretty sharpish too, outside chance he doesn't even make it to Christmas I reckon.

Which will of course see his Angelistas pointing the blame at the Chairman rather than their sweet prince.

Postecoglou won't take Forest down.. I would put money on that.

I do think going in now, for any manager, when Santo seemed popular and with a way of playing is a big challenge, but the hardest will be the 2 games per week.

Whoever goes in, Forest ain't finishing top 8 this season. More likely bottom 8.

No doubt they will beat us of course, although the person who ultimately sacked Postecoglou, (if him) has also been moved on.

That Woolwich game will be so interesting now aside from the extra heat from arse fans.

Will he setup how he did for us first season, high line, inverted full backs , huge attacking overloads

Or did he learn a lesson and setup as per Europa. Rigid backline, more direct balls to the wingers, cross heavy
