Frank has never beaten Ange (1 draw 3 defeats). Hope he can buck that trend...
I’ll be here all week
Not entirely sure if Frank knows how to deal with aggressive pressure, Bayern and bournmouth and losing twice to ange last season seems to suggest he's still figuring that out.
If ange is to play the same way then id play a mid block, play our fastest front 3 which I guess is odobert, kolo and Johnson. Look for balls over the top to beat the high line, overlord the back post on crosses/ double up on the fullback as the winger in his system should be elsewhere

Unlike when he took over here, Forest already have a solid spine and a settled defence. He won’t have to create a team pretty much from scratch like he did here when he lost Kane/Lloris and so many newbies like Udogie, Sarr, Vicario, VDV, Maddison and Johnson came into the starting XI.
Whether he succeeds there will depend on how much he deviates from the principles that Nuno embedded. I actually think they have some players who are quite well suited to play attacking football like Williams, Aina, Elanga, MGW but Ange goes beyond attacking football into kamikaze territory. He will not be able to play Milenkovic and Murillo on the halfway line while everyone else pushes to the edge of the opposing box.
I think he can probably be a bit more bold than Nuno without breaking the team, but I’m very curious to see if he can resist the temptation to try full on Angeball again. Especially as his new chairman will interfere and undermine him in ways that even Levy wouldn’t dare do.
How long will he keep it though? Time will tell.Back in a job at one of only 6 English teams to have won the European cup. Incredible scenes.
And people on here said he wouldn’t get another job. Clueless!!
Not Ange. You.
You know who you are.
Anyone fancy a game of Postecoglou press conference bingo?
My 5 picks over the next few months.
I always win things in my second season.
It’s who I am mate.
Sleeping giant.
He’s got a hamstring injury.
I don’t look at the league table mate.
As much as I hate to say it, a better team would have beaten us that night, Man Utd had basically been as garbage as us most of the season.
I don't hate to say it! We were under the kosh in the second half against that Man U team! We defended well yes, but couldn't keep the ball up the field or apply any pressure. As much as I hate to say it, a better team would have beaten us that night, Man Utd had basically been as garbage as us most of the season.
TBF, it's still quite an attractive gig. They have a decent side, playing in the PL and in Europe. And presumbly he will get £4m-£5m or something pa?Right. We won the final by rejecting all that is Angeism.
He won’t change. He wouldn’t even change slightly while he was here no matter how bad it was.
But he did function as a capable yes-man for Levy, and wouldn’t criticize him. This seems a criteria for selection for Forest
You’d be bonkers to take the job there I think but Ange is desperate to prove he belonged in the PL when everyone but him knows he doesn’t, and he won’t get another opportunity
Apart from Frankfurt, Bodo away and the Manu final he was a tactical disaster. He only changed then because we didn't have any attacking midfielders.
I agree. Ange adds some attacking confidence and intent to the side he inherits. And it works for a while as the team still has a clue how to defend and organise. But over time that goes out the window and the team collapses. I agree it might take a year or so for full-on collpase with ForestThe players will still have the defensive basics Nuno installed including team shape so I wouldn’t be surprised if they do ok while that is still baked in this season. The tail off will begin March time I suspect and continue into next season like it did with us. I suspect it will follow a similar fashion with them. I don’t expect them to be awful from day one.

Well, Ange is responsible for coaching, whoever he has below him.Which is why it makes NO sense for him to go again with Jedinak who is supposed to coach the defense?
Make them an entertaining team who always play on the front foot. If they avoid injuries then they'll score alot of goals and win a lot of games. Hard to see them finish top 6 but imagine midtable with a very exciting brand of football.
I also think they've a big chance in the Europa League now. Ange has great experience from winning it with us last year and that has to be worth something.
