Some of their fans are optimistic about this actually. It's not all doom and gloom over there.

They think they have enough squad depth to meet the demands of his high intensity football that ravaged us last season, and there is some attacking firepower in their squad waiting to be utilized by a more attacking minded manager. They actually don't mind the stark contrast in style between these two managers.

I think they underestimate how big of a shambles our defense was under him for the most part, and therefore simply assume that they'll be able to outscore teams on a semi-regular basis with him in charge. I really doubt it but we'll see.

Ange is back!

He's in the dug out for the Forest game at Woolwich.

Marinakis has also added eight more physio's to the Forest medical department.

And chefs…

That still stings me, we only finished 2 pts behind Villa! A better manager would’ve got us over the line imo. Everyone rightfully goes on about last season but some of the losses we had in 23/24 were a joke. Wolves home and away, Brighton away, getting completely slapped by Fulham after putting 4 past Villa away. Just terrible.
Brighton away, Emerson Royal and Ben Davies at centre back and them playing on the half way line was a fairly early warning that he might be a bit set in his ways. As we got used to a couple of late goals put an underserved gloss on things.

Game of opinion. I thought Ange had us playing brilliant football when he had his perfect conditions (a week between games and a fully fit squad). In my opinion, his biggest issue was that he showed zero adaptability when he didn't have his perfect conditions.

I think he'll start well at Forest. I'll be cheering for them this weekend against Woolwich anyway! If the entire backline gets injured and he doubles down on his attacking philosophies again then yes he's just not cut out for the top level. This forest stint will answer alot of unanswered questions about Ange. Everyone has an opinion and some strongly believe he was at fault for everything last season including our injury list. I think some of it is debatable and this Forest stint will offer the answers.

Let's see although I won't be watching but with his fan club here, I won't need to.

Question is, does he stick with the all-out no structure high line stuff that didn't work with us or does he go with the pragmatic system he used during the Europa run-in?
If Ange decides to continue with Ange-Ball while at Forest, I give him less than 6 months before Marinakas gets rid!

I don't fully understand why are people questioning what kind of football he will play.
Like he would have more than 1.

He is literally a coach that has been doing it for 26 years and has one plan (and even that is shaky to say the least).
Where is the tactical insightfulness expected to appear from?

Just shame that their "president" is rather hot-headed. Otherwise I'd be willing to place a bet of them getting relegated in his 2nd season.

Shocking. He didn't adapt our tactics when we were missing 7 or 8 starters in most league games.

I said when we had the perfect conditions which was very rare. The first 10 games, beating Villa 4-0 at Villa park, beating United 3-0 at old Trafford, beating City 4-0 at the Etihad. All top performances. With the perfect conditions, we played good football.

You are gaslighting people (and possibly yourself) here.

It was not about "his perfect conditions". It was about some part luck and some part of opposition tactics exactly fitting us + us getting first goal.

Cause literally these so called perfect conditions were there also in start of his 2nd season. You know when we drew with Leicester. And lost to Woolwich and Newcastle at the very beginning. Before major injuries and Europe competitions.

Basically after first season he needed 3 factors to allign -
- have favorable schedule
- have a coach against whom our tactics work
- score first

If either one was not place, it was gonna be a shitshow. Even with 1-week-per game period.

Just wish we could play all 38 games against managers with his tactical abilities...

Someone should watch the Forest forums for new users signing up with similar usernames to those here.

Just remember folks, it's not their fans fault their owner was a bellend about MGW.
They're in for a world of hurt now as their cowboy coach undoes all of Nono's hard work, destroys their players fitness and to top it all off, brings a fucking cult with him.

And because Ange knew from his time at the club. Chances are it was part of the negotiations with Marinakis to get the job.
Mate you literally laughed when I said it on June 16th (which I have just found). I said this(it's on the deleted MGW thread):

"I wouldn't be at all surprised if MGW was a target last season and Ange told his fat Greek mate when they met weeks back that Levy was aware of his release clause."

Now you're trying to go on like you think it's possible? Tbh it wasn't only you that laughed and a bozo poster staying "it was in my head" with many agrees. I don't want any of the likes and agree people cosigning my post now..

I'm Dexter Morgan..I work solo..fuck pack mentality.
