Would you pass up on multi million £ work?
Maybe he was already being paid by our club anyway, so... not sure if he actually made any extra money, but anyway, there's nobody to blame for his decision to take the job except Postecoglou himself.

Therefore his tactics being a bad fit for the players and previous manager's style as an excuse for failure is negated. ie the reason you gave.

At one point, we just walked up to the gaffer and said that we need to change some things and play more defensive sometimes. We played away at Frankfurt and were 1-0 up, and we can’t keep attacking, we just need to come back and have a low block and make sure we get the three points.”

“We sat with him and he agreed with us on some things and he told us that he expected us two guys to sort this on the pitchto make sure that this is something everybody knows and to speak to everybody on the pitch,” van de Ven continued.

“He said to me and Cuti personally that we need to make sure the other guys listen to us, that we have a reputation in the team and everyone respects us, so make sure the guys follow what we say on the pitch. So, Cuti and I were just screaming at everyone.”

He added: “We had to speak to Ange because we had no plan B in game.”

looks to me that big ol' Ange didn't know what to do and passed the buck.

Passed the buck to the same players who are on a run of 2 wins in 17, great 😆

You dont think its relevant.

I Never wanted frank and im sure the players didn't either.

Especially after Postecoglou gave them responsibility to do what they want and them winning the trophy gave them justification that they know better....its a double edged sword.

Frank being crap doesn't mean Ange was good.

I haven't said anything about Frank, I'm challenging the narrative that the players and not the managerare the one's who got us over the line.

Well considering Romero and Van de Ven didn't play again in the league after being hooked at half time vs Forest and we went on to not win a single league game.

There is no doubt in my mind that the players and not the manager got us over the line.

And yet those 2 players have played in the majority of matches this season including the Super Cup and our domestic cups and we've been knocked out and considering where we are in the table how comes they haven't been able to repeat the trick?

So presumably we're going to win it because of our tactical geniuses on the pitch then? 😉

Or will it be because of

The fucker had a chance to go to the pundits that have created a dirty player narrative around Romero you are the reason Romero gets harsher treatment than Van Dijk instead the wanker propagates it and goes Romero goes too far in training. Ange foes what he does best look out for Ange.
