Player Antonín Kinský

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

He reminds me of Meslier from a couple of years ago. The odd great save, but way too many howlers and idiotic decisions (with and without the ball at his feet), overall a source of unrest.

So we can look for another back up goalie? hmmm no.

Like i said, i think he's going to be a very good goalkeeper.

Loan him out for two years - and buy a proper back up keeper - or recall Keeley.
No way Kinsky should be at the club next year.
Would be asking for massive trouble.

Accept you have potentially wasted £12.5 - don't compound the mistake by letting him cost us goals and possibly matches next season.

If he improves elsewhere fine. I'd he doesn't it's just another bad signing - who at least wasn't that much lin the grand scheme.

Tbh - I don't think the club will so quickly admit they made such a massive mistake - so we could have a scary keeper option as number two next year as well.

It makes it so difficult to beat a good team - when your keeper is pretty likely to give them a goal.

Kinsky appears to be a bit prone to erratic moments- he had that moment vs Pool yesterday with the awkward punch in his box. He's made some very bad passes out of the back before.

I'm sure he'll be a very fine keeper eventually, but I don't know that is right now. I think he need at least a season in the Champo or similar.

I see a young player with plenty of ability desperate to make a mark before Vicario returns (and seize his #1 status)....... That urgency could be working against him; leaving him too highly strung.

Why do you think he has plenty of ability?
What would a young player without ( relatively) plenty of ability look like?

He is a professional football he is going to be able to do certain things.
You can only compare him to other players.
I don't know a worse pl keeper at the moment - not even close.

But yes - it is possible he just got off to a terrible start and is nervous and might improve.
I accept it's possible.
But at the moment the evidence suggests he is a very poor keeper
And that is all we have to go on .

Because it's been evident outside of a few isolated moments.

But at the moment the evidence suggests he is a very poor keeper

Rubbish..... Aside from his howler yesterday he actually served to keep the score-line from being a lot worse.

Not the only game where that was the case either.

(...And FWIW fuck that bogus penalty against the dippers the other night.)

Far too early to judge - some people on here are so quick to say a young player is useless ffs hes a kid and been thrown into a fucking mess in front of him.
He clearly has talent.

Thats my take. He has talent. Any GK is under pressure playing for Ange, as are the centre backs.

I'd love to know what the average xg is against us compared to premier league average.

We’re 15th for xG against.
6th for xg.

I have only just seen the first Villa goal oh dear what a shit show from all concerned.Look he wasn't playing so we will never know but in my head Vic saves that.
We are stacked with GKs probably over stacked. Fraser will go in the Summer.

It definitely wasn’t good enough but consider also:

1) A good PL midfielder bas a completely free shot at goals inside the box in a central area within 30s. That is always going to be hard to save when smashed hard and points to many other failings.

2) He went in to have a really good game and made some superb saves.

Kinsky was not the problem

Does it??

He killed it against Liverpool first match.

Distribution better than Vic, better than Vic for corners, comes off his line better. Vic is only superior at shot stopping. Meanwhile Kinsky is 21 so will improve his shot stopping

He looks good.

Hasnt had a settled back four in front of him since he came into the team.

Playing him this much is definitely having an effect on his form, it has been tailing off since the first game so it is pretty obvious that there is a problem in front of him.

Vicario will be back in goal soon but I dont want to see him getting his confidence destroyed. I've seen enough to know he is a good keeper. Let's just hope we dont fuck him up.

Sorry - it could be me.
But I find the take on Kinsky bizarre.
His distribution is erratic and that is being kind.
Against Liverpool at Anfield it was crazy
He is not particularly good at corners - has got caught in no man's lad that have partially led to goals where he was flapping.

Shot stopping is the most important aspect for a keeper.
Just being 21 does not mean he will improve
There are thousands of young keepers who are not good at shot stopping - will they all improve?

He made a couple of decent saves in the first leg against Liverpool - but even then the warning signs were there - he made some handling errors.

All keepers make some saves.
You have to look at the sum of his parts

It's way,way short of what we need.
I honestly think as of now - we would have conceded fewer goals and possibly drawn or won a game we lost - had we not signed him.

Vicario's injured is the one that completely fucked us - and we compound it by signing Kinsky.

Forster who motm more than once - he wasn't amazing - but bar the Utd game was at least solid.

Austin was also solid and his distribution was good.

He might bloom into manuel neurer but his current reflection is an ambisinister Bobby Mimms

One thing is for sure with all the shots peppered at the spurs goal we need Vic back asap.
