Manager Antonio Conte

Guys tells the truth and gets called a cunt for it?!

Harsh.

He got us into the Top 4 last year, don't forget. We did the bare minimum last summer in the window and fucked around almost all of January.

It doesn't matter who the manager is, under ENIC and Levy (the actual cunt in all of this) we're fucked and will win nothing.

But a nice distraction this is, laying the blame all on one man's shoulders who will most likely win trophies at his next club whilst we continue to be the butt of the jokes in English football.

Might as well close the club down whilst we remain an ENIC product, no point in our existence.

No escaping that the ENIC model has run it's course.

They can't win and don't even really care that much for it. Sure, they wouldn't mind if their model resulted in a trophy or 2 but their priorities come before winning.

You try to make a point by playing players out of position just to tell the board that the pricks that ahould play are utter dross. You don't keep playing Dier and co. and expect a different performance. That's the definition of insanity.
I don't disagree. But he should have done that before the transfer window closed. Not much that can be done with ten games to go. Unless you are trying to throw the league position.

You wouldn’t mind if they didn’t fleece every last possible penny out of the punters but they still try and peddle a veneer of ambition in order to charge such rip off pricing. I agree with closing of the club. Focus on events, NFL and Beyoncé and just let everyone get on with their lives

Message is correct, timing is wrong.

Like everything in life these days it appears that people expect you to choose one polarised side of the argument, with no in-between.

It is perfectly valid in my mind to say that Conte has underperformed this season, and that he isn't getting enough out of the squad. There isn't much in terms of positive patterns of play suggesting a world class coach. We look bang average and lack control in every match we play.

That doesn't mean by placing some blame on Conte that you are discounting the part that ENIC has to play in our current malaise. Their tenure has certainly run its course and we need a top to bottom review of how the club is run.

My point is...there isn't just one party to blame

Antonio Conte, Daniel Levy and Fabio Paracunti meet for crisis talks.

100%. That’s why Contes interview was frustrating as if he also stressed that he had made mistakes and acknowledged his self analysis, it would have been more well rounded. He seemed to ignore that and pass the buck

Please drop this myth once and for all.... It's been done to death. Poch's finger prints are all over our trf business during his time here.

Ndombele
GLC
Foyth
Aurier
Jansen
Llorente
Wanyama
.......All players who can easily be traced back to Poch.

.......And no; Wanyama didn't sign in the summer of 2017 either.
I said the summer of the season we came 2nd to Chelsea, which was 2016/17. Wanyama was signed June 2016. So yes, it was the same summer as Janssen, Sissoko and N'koudou.
I don't see it in Aurier or Janssen at all tbh, I think both of those were basically "well Poch, we can't get target A that you wanted, but we've phoned around and target C is available for a good price". GLC and TN'D for sure are his signings, but tbh I do think that given he only lasted 3-4 months past that summer we really didn't get an opportunity to see if and how Poch would have worked them both into his system. That goose is cooked now as far as TN'D is concerned, he's been thoroughly exposed as a lazy fuck, but I wouldn't be massively surprised if upon Poch's return he doesn't see about trying to get a tune out of GLC possibly in that AM role, if he doesn't have the budget to buy an attacking mid on top of refreshing our defence etc.
Llorente was a decent if uninspiring backup for Kane who only cost £12m, thing is that's exactly the sort of player you need as backup for a player like Kane, if you have a young hungry guy behind him with basically no chance of minutes when Kane's fit they're gonna get itchy feet, someone like Llorente who was already in his 30s and been there and done it, won stuff, he was happy to come and sit on the bench behind Kane and step in where needed. Foyth never played tbh so I don't think we can draw a decent conclusion on how he would've turned out if Poch stayed.

No you don't, you pick the best you have and try and get the best out of them and you go to the board and tell them you need better.

Who would you have picked 'out of position'?

Conte has gone on record saying that he like Dier numerous times and once said that he can be one of the best CB's in the league, there's nothing like sending a message to the board by actually coming out and praising the player in public whilst constantly playing him.

What he says in public and what he says to the board can be very different.

A manager praising a player publicly in order to boost his confidence is a good managerial approach, he's not gonna come out and say he's shit when he's got to motivate him.

6 centre halves and only Romero good enough to play consistently for a club that wants to be challenging. That's not on Conte, same as it won't be on the next guy.

We shouldn’t be buying back ups but challengers.

We need new owners, a new manager, new s outing team, new players, a plan.We also need a captain, neither Lloris nor Kane are captain material. I detest this ‘best player is captain’ just to keep them at the club. Messi,Neymar etc etc

I don't actually think Romero is good enough on a consistent basis at the moment. He is too reckless but, yes, it is a concern.

The point is that he's had enough time to get him replace him or get some better players in, if he was such a problem we would have spent our approx £200m outlay since he's been here improving on him or that area, we haven't bought in 1CB in 3 windows and I'm not including Romero or Lenglet in that.

When your a manager getting as much money as he is on a short term contract your priority should be to sort out the weakest areas of the team, not play politics with the board in the hope that they'd get the message, if it was such an issue why have we bought in 3 forwards in that time for example?
