Seems like Conte used the dark arts and told the players they weren't good enough yet. instead of proving him wrong and showing some character, most of them found ways to prove him right.
Conte failure in man management and player failure of character.
Actually for once don't think this is a sacking per se. If the club had canned him why are most of *his* coaching staff happy to stay on and see out the season? More going on here than we're being told, he's either physically worse than has been let on, or mentally is shot and has completely given up and wanted out ASAP and the club did the kindest thing and didn't stand in his way.
As for Conte, well I think he's taken the piss quite frankly. He might have had a tough year on a personal level. Might not have been *backed* as well as he could have and had wider club faults to contend with.... But what falls within his remit he has largely half-arsed it. Same formation every week. Same tactics even when they get worked out. Same players whatever the form. Never looking for solutions. Always acted like he was doing us a favour and like he was holding his nose being here. I won't look back at his body of Tottenham work and think he gave it everything to be honest.

I am so glad conte is gone. He has left a stain on our great club. Even though we have not get a new permanent manager yet, we are peaciltically guaranteed of 4th. The new manager bounce can last from 4 to 6 games on average. That should seal it. Let's have our team play with the freedom and quality that we know they are capable of. It is time to get behind the lads and ensure we finish this season strongly and try our best to get 3rd.
for 2 reasons:
1) our contenders have spent much more than that (chelsea has spent 600M in 1 year)
2) we wasted a large part of that money on average players like GLC, lamela, ndombelè, sanchez. and part of that money is not already visible because we don't know how gil, sarr, udogie, kulu will be in the future

There was an offer of conte furthering his stay at thfc with a pay rise far earlier in the season which he chose not to sign and wait till summer. It hasnt worked out has it ?.

20/21 - GW 28 - spurs 7th on 45 points and lost 2-1 away to Arse
21/22 - GW 28 - spurs 4th on 46 points having had a win stolen by dreadful penalty decision that would have had us 3rd on 48 points
On game week 28 of the 18/19 season we were 3rd on 60 points. However, we'd just lost to Burnley and Chelsea, then drew with Woolwich, then lost to Southampton and Liverpool. We actually only won 3 games from MW27 until the end of the season.
I'm actually really confused. Are we actually a better team? It sort of feels like he HAS improved us.
I just think he gave up a few weeks/months ago.

That'd be because he left after they had won the league.
Give it another season and he'd have lost them on his way out of another club.
I think even that last PC outburst has made us better.
Nowhere to hide now. Another serial winner has come and gone without winning and this time he went out with some necessary medicine dished out.
That will sting the club and mr Levy no doubt. Conte was his man.

It's not worked out. But he did get us to 4th last season and leaves us in 4th right now. Not a total car crash, just a big disappointment because I thought we might have a guy who we can back bigtime for a couple of seasons and do what Woolwich are doing now, compete for the league.
