Not saying i want him out now as that would be daft but if he left at the end of the season i wont be shedding any tears. Its not about losing a game, or not competing for the league, its purely the stodgy, workmanlike football and his preference for some quite average jobbing footballers.

Agreed. It gets results more often than not, and it's not as bad as Mourinho's era, but I don't like Conte-ball much at all. Too light in midfield, too reliant on wing backs, too reliant on sitting back then perfection in counter attacks .

Maybe with more signings and time it'll get more easy on the eye.
 
Doesn’t want to lose?

Maybe sub out PEH or Bentancur when they are both on a yellow and could barely walk after 70 minutes in Portugal. That was just ridiculous and I’ll stand by that.

But at least we didn’t lose because of Bissouma!

How is a "purely defensive" WB helping a team playing on the counter? Without attacking wingbacks it is such a doomed project. So far his deficiencies were well camouflaged by kulusevski's presence..but he has been found out the moment kulu is out

And he has been pretty average as a defensive WB, nothing to make him a mainstay in a top 4 team.

I don’t know about nervous, he looked more angry to me. He hates to lose and he hates to concede goals. For his team to concede 7 goals in 3 games will irritate him a lot. Back to back away defeats too.

I think he’s said before that our players do not get angry enough when they lose. You can see it on the pitch. Losing is not a big enough deal, we are not ready to die to avoid defeat.

he was nervous when journalists asked him about spence and also when they criticize his football, considering it too defensive compared to that of arteta

i didn't say anything about the counter, or any kind of attack. i said conte values defense first. and was emerson honestly a terrible defender.
The non emotional answer is no he isn't, as he has proved he is a capable defender , and as Conte say's he isnt stupid, he oversees training everyday. I dont watch spence in training. He is very likely the better forward imo but for all we know he is terrible at tracking back, defending one on ones against our forwards, poor defending set pieces and just not good enough yet as frustrating as that may be.

I don't think he helped himself, especially as he had made comments about arteta recently.
That's fine when you are at clubs like Chelsea,. Inter or Juventus, because the players generally back up those comments in big games.
He on the other hand doesn't have the luxury, he has a keeper with hands of clay, defenders who struggle to defend, midfield that can't pass more than a few yards.

Yeah, he hasn't been on his game from day one.

I guess you couldn't really 'not' start him against Woolwich though. Hattrick in his last league fixture for us, successful international break with him scoring two goals and he has a good record against Woolwich recently too.

Unfortunately, his performance was no better than any of his other starts this season. Just poor decision making and poor on the ball whenever he received it. I'd love to see him dropped tonight, go 352 and start Richy up top with Kane.
