TBH i don't agree with some of his selections but i can't bring myself to criticize him when the real issues at the club are well out of his hands.
He's an excellent coach but so are Pep and Klopp and they would rip this squad to shreds if they had it.

I think he just reasoned with big league games upcoming it's not worth going after a win in a match against a better side when we're already 0-2 down after the first leg. If it was 1-1 or 0-1 he might have had a go.
Still doesn't explain Doherty at LWB mind you, i'd rather we go 442 and stick Davies at LB to do a job.
