Manager Antonio Conte

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

I agree it is a bad fit if Levy is unwilling to change his ways which have shown to be a failure and bad way to run the club.

However, if Levy was willing to run the club like a successful club with ambition I think Conte was a great fit for us to that going forward.

That bitching and moaning should have been a positive to show Levy how wrong he has been, what he needs to do to change and not just lie down to Levy's crap.

I think Poch, even though he tried, was unable to show Levy the problems at the club. Even though he outright said what needed to be done Levy refused to listen.

Jose was happy to have a job at our club so was willing to say anything to Levy to get and then keep the job.

We need Conte pointing out how shit the players are so that Levy can. hopefully, finally realize all the players he overrates aren't close to good enough. Unfortunately it appears that Levy will not listen even to a manager of Conte's pedigree.

Hard to imagine anything is going to change even with a "normal" season. If Levy is already pissing off Conte and having two crap windows in a row why would you think we are likely to spend money wisely going forward.

Yes the stadium could be a valuable asset for us going forward, but if we still operate like Levy has been doing for years it won't matter much other than to keep us from dropping below Wolves and Leicester but not likely to significantly step above them and certainly not keep up with Liverpool.

If we are 3rd to 8th playing good (doesn't even have to be great football) bringing in quality players is great. Being 3rd to 8th playing god awful football because we lack so much quality and show that we have zero ambition to bring in quality players is a pretty shit situation. Obviously better than being in relegation battles but I think our ambition should be much higher than that.
Levy simply doesn’t care and he never will. We are an investment, not a football team.

Convert a winger to rwb or stop playing wingbacks.

I somewhat agree but it isn't like Royal, Sessegnon or Doherty improve if we go to a back 4. They are not good full backs either.

And with our shit midfield, especially in terms of progressing the ball, taking out the wingbacks just means instead of not being able to create and progress the ball from out wide we can't progress the ball or create chances through the midfield.

Conte & Levy were never going to get along but Conte knew the team he was inheriting & should have known he was never getting a blank cheque.
I think what he said was a product of his frustration with the players themselves. He is a proven winner & expects a winning attitude from everyone around him.

Conte doesn't want a blank cheque though, he never has demanded that.

What he does want is players who are ready to play at a high level right away not Gil's, Sarr's, Rodon's who are brought in to hopefully be ready to be sold on for a higher fee in 2-3 years.

Even a guy like Royal who we constantly have to hear about being "young" and needing time is a shit signing for what Conte wants.

I think a little overreaction to everything. Conte is not going to leave unless we outright don’t back him in the Summer and sell players he likes. Otherwise it really just makes him look bad and is quitting because the job is too hard. That is not his character. He left Inter because he just won the title and they were preparing to sell their best players at their peaks. As long as we are somewhat trying I think we’ll be ok on that front.

We knew we have problems that will take longer that one window to fix. We’ve had some tough losses in the rain. It happens.

Antonio Conte a very passionate man I get that for sure now but that cannot be it? Hopefully he got some good sleep last night and feeling a bit better today lol

I said when everyone was calling Jose a dinosaur that it was the players that were the issue. I remember pointing out that there's not much Jose could do if the players can't make 5 yard passes to each other.

I was glad Jose went though cos the football was awful.

However, my point still stands...the players are the problem.

In a stand off between Conte and Levy, I'm right behind Conte. I'm hoping he gets his way in the summer and beyond.

The two things can both be true.

Jose was a dinosaur his approach does not work, but the players also were not good enough.

I can’t speak for everyone but for myself I’m not interested in picking players over coach over ENIC. It’s clearly a bit of each and every.

I’m more interested in how we move forward from here. It very much looks as though ENIC will be here until an obscene offer comes in, so the real question is how can Conte work within the current financial model, or work to change it, to bring better success on the pitch?
Very much agree. Conte is our coach and our players are our players. From his comments recently I believe he understands the team will continue in the transfer market to value players on the way up as opposed to finished products. That said, this summer window will tell the story. If he perceives he is getting players willing to buy into his system this could still work out.

Oh shit...we agree on something...

"Said before but the financial dopin the EPL has stunted our growth ...."

Are you serious? You got to be kidding. Levy spending all the money on a Bloody NFL Stadium and nothing real on players, that has stunted our growth. We were one of the most profitable clubs in the league. Our market value has multiplied ten fold since 2001

I'm 100% sure you on the Spurs Payroll. Either that or you are in some seriously need of help. 'Shift in Domestic Landscape....' my ass. We are one of the most valuable clubs in the world, with nothing more than an average team.

Awww, bless it' s just all a bit too complicated for your simple so-called brain isn't it.

We could play Tanganga or even Sanchez as RB, they are better defenders than Royal or Doherty.
