Manager Antonio Conte

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Oh yeah I agree with you, pal. He wasn't reserve, that's why I was correcting the guy I was replying to.

I've more of a soft spot for AC Milan, but I wish Juve had sacked Rabiot as opposed to Bentancur. And I'm not saying that because I wanted that French twat at Spurs! No way, I can't stand him and his mom.

She's not even hot! :harryhmm:

All sounds like guesswork to me, here's the bit from the article the aggregator is reporting.

So, is Conte’s departure imminent?

Well-placed sources close to the club were pretty much unanimous on Thursday that they can’t see Conte still being in charge at Tottenham next season.

But he is not expected to leave soon. Resigning would affect the size of the pay-off he would receive, and would be damaging to his reputation having taken the job so recently. It would suggest a lack of preparedness for what to expect at Spurs or an admission that he had overestimated his ability to turn things around.

Neither is a great look, though he may think he has enough credit in the bank that future employers would overlook the folly of the last few months.

Compatriot Carlo Ancelotti, for instance, was handed a second spell as Real Madrid coach last summer fresh from a pretty underwhelming year and a half managing Everton.

Were he to leave now, though, Conte would almost certainly have to wait until the summer for an attractive vacancy to open up. And remember, it was his itchy feet that compelled him to take the Spurs job in November having turned it down a few months earlier, during pre-season.

He also wants to prove he can be successful with a club who have neither a big transfer budget or heritage as one of their country’s most successful sides.
I have followed the coach Count since he led Juventus. He has made some important steps. If he accepted Tottenham in the race it is because the club must have given guarantees, otherwise he would not have come. He is very proud as well as professional. In my opinion at this stage he is simply having a tug-of-war with Levy to force him to come out about what he was promised. As a Juventus fan I tell you that a club that invests in a new top-level stadium does not neglect the "technical" project. I am confident that this infighting will lead to more resources for the team. You will not have the Man United budget but large budgets are useless if you then pay medium-high level players as phenomena (DeGea, € 20 million a year)

Rabiot is a good midfielder but in Juventus he is unable to perform as well as perhaps he could. Then he seems crushed by his own contract, incongruous. There are Juventus fans who would take him with their car to another city / club 😂😂

Mate, 100 fcuking per cent.

Many will disagree with me but if this carries on until the end of the season we should get rid.

Top manager but too bloody volatile and for me, playing to the media.

He should rein in his expectation, stop with any hyperbole and add more value than he has in totality.

He is beginning to sound like he is making excuses in my book, which aren't necessary.
I agree with you that the club comes first but Levy has to explain what he will do when he grows up. The stadium is fine with extra luxury accessories but what does he want to put on the pitch? He is not an emir or an oligarch but he cannot think of saving by taking only the top coach.

Stability what is putting an overpaid coach on the bench who is tepidly waiting to carry out the contract? This is not Conte: he is a bit crazy. It is as if you put on the bench a cross between a professional killer and a hooligans. He lives everything like this. Ancelotti has a different style. He on the bench he chews gum and moves his eyebrows. In the press conference he always says: "Yes X is a great player, I certainly don't find out ...", he is paternal.

He's gone imv

‘I’VE HEARD FROM HIM’: ITALIAN DROPS CONTE BOMBSHELL THAT’LL SCARE SPURS FANS

He told TMW Radio: “He’s thinking of leaving. He would like to stay at home, let’s say. It takes time, and maybe he realised that there’s a margin beyond which he can’t go with certain players. He made a wrong assessment. I’ve heard from him; he’s disappointed with a situation he expected to be different.”

Nail of the fucking head......................

I'll chuck this piece in here as well, as it relates...............

It's exhausting!! There are posters in here that NEVER post in any thread about the football, their posts are exclusively about spending money, the board, everything apart from the football. Odd no?

Maybe being one of the South African Basement boys has me looking at things quite differently. I live +-10000 kilometers and I still see myself as Spurs. Years ago I bought into a motto "Audere est Facere (To dare is to do)". I bought into Mabutt, Gascoigne, Lineker, King, Van der Vaart, Klinsmann, Hoddle...... The list is long. Players who would leave their blood on the pitch. Irrespective of League position, they gave their all. Off the top of my head the player I had most been irritated by was Nayim. Today I would still classify him a legend over what we have.

Why do we constantly complain about transfer and money spent. You and I, put that money into a Football club. Be it, buying a football jersey at 80 quid or a keyring at 5 quid. The Bums in the seats pay the highest ticket prices. So when everything gets invested into buildings and not the FC, we have a duty to voice our discontent. The club has grown to be in the top 10 most valuable clubs in the world. Why? Because our assest value is tremendous.

Levy bought the club of a few million his contribution would have been in the region of 10-20 million quid. Today his value would be in the region of 600 - 1 billion quid. He will get out approximately 30-50 time what he put in.

Has the team improved 30-50 fold? Only Levy supporters would be happy coming to a game, watching a mediocre (if not bad) 90 min and go home happy.

Wake Up. You own Tottenham. You are Tottenham. Tottenham without fans doesn't exist. If you are happy watching Chelsea whip out arses 4 out of 4 times, it's ok. Don't feel those that are defending their club by rising against Money Grabbing Overlords are wrong by voicing their frustrations.

Our Team is Shit = Daniel Levy. We have Minimal investment in players. We've had 3 World Class Managers -Poch, Jose and Conté - all saying the same thing, receiving nothing from above. What we did get - We've had 0 trophies in the Last 23 years. We've won the biggest stadium. We've won the most expensive seats in the EPl. We've won if the most expensive jerseys and gear. To me, for us its just been one big loss. Keep quite and we are volenteers for this shit.

Starting to feel like the end of the season but with a few more defeats maybe sooner. Brillianly played by all concerned. If he does go and unless the owners decide to do the decent thing and sell (ha) we should do what we should have done a year ago, sack off Paratici, sell Kane and as many others as possible and start from scratch with a younger DoF and a footballing coach like Potter or ten Hag, although think Potter is probably too smart to touch us. It all just feels pointless with these owners though. They'll always be a glass ceiling.

I suggest fans storm Levy's office and forcefully remove him

Hold a court hearing in the middle of the pitch - Bain-style

Eliminate the cunts

Wait and see what he says in the next hour. I suspect he will flip flop once again. I find it hard to take what he says seriously. I suspect deep down he's just fed up of the questions that aren't about what happens on the grass.

Let's be honest. The one looking bad in all of this is Conte.

The club has bent over backwards for him by all accounts since he came in. We sacked off 3 of our highest earners in January just because he didn't want to use them and brought in two players that by all accounts and his own words he wanted in.

He came in mid season and was informed upon taking the job that we could not do major business in January. He knew that when he signed. If he wants out after 4 months and a string of bad form then that reflects more on him than it does on Spurs.

This is not in defence of Levy or the board. Its just pointing out the truth of the matter.

Addendum: If this was after a full summer window then it would be a completely different scenario. But he knew the circumstances when he took the job mid season so throwing his toys out of the pram after a couple of games does not reflect well on what is supposed to be one of the best coaches in the world.
