Manager Antonio Conte

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

The other problem is let’s say Conte leaves, who do we get. The obvious replacements Ten Hag and Potter are no longer available. I love attacking football but we would need to buy and sell to refit the squad for a new manager with a different philosophy.

Now that we are on a path with Conte we need to see it through and properly back him, the alternative seems worse to me. I don’t disagree that Conte might have got some things wrong but he is still an elite manager in his prime, that is not easy to replace.

Also, who really wants another potential long and tedious drawn out manager search like summer last year? I’m still traumatised from that!

After having loads of upheaval in personnel in the last few years, we need some stability for a while, unless things go really pear shaped.

What the fuck is he talking about?! 😂😂

Full quote makes sense. Spence obviously not great in training and Doherty not fit or not training well enough .

Conte on Djed Spence

The fans have to be fans. The fans is the fans, I understand they can think everything but I see every day what happens during the training session. I try to do the best for the team. If they trust me, then they trust me, but the choices are mine. If I didn't decide to pick one player it's maybe because he's not ready.

We are talking about a young player with a good prospect, but I repeat I try to pick the best team. Also Doherty last season played every game. Now I’m not seeing him in the right way to start the game. I'm not stupid, I don't want to lose. I try to put the best team, to pick the best team. If they trust me it's ok, if they don't trust me then I'm the coach and I need to take the best decision for Tottenham.

He’s a spiteful man, he just wouldn’t play Spence even if he was the only natural RWB option fit and available.

Spence, Brian and Sarr

These are 3 talents currently being mismanaged that would 100% flourish under a coach that believes in possession front foot football.

Possibly, although I don't think potter will do much at Chelsea, would be surprised if he is still there in a years time.
The thing is, in 2/3 years time all top half teams in prem will have managers that play possession based football and his style is going to stick out like a sore thumb.

That and not having a shot at winning the prem because Pep and Klopp will still be around could hurt his ego and force him to run back to his comfort zone.

Yes I see your point, but this season with utd, Liverpool currently not quite at it, he should get top four.
City will win it then, it's anyone from the filth down
