IMO, we need Conte if only to attract higher quality players in the short term.
Go in to the January window in the last 16 of the CL and within touching distance of the top of the able AND Conte and you can get top players.
Lose Conte and put some utter mug in charge again and we're getting Nelson and Saha.
No similar players. Actual Nelson and actual Saha.

The haters (who obviously have the attention span of a 3 year old) missed all the fantastic passing and and intricate moves on Saturday. Solidify the defence, replace Royal with a player who can do the job we need and watch is fly.

We tore Leeds apart at will on Saturday. There was a 20 minute lull in the game at 2-2 where we seemed to stand off. That's our problem. All of our defence kept backing off. That's the only negative football we had. And we KNOW those defenders are simply not good enough,
Direbolical barely making a tackle all season isn't tactics. He's just not very good. And somehow he's better than Sanchez. Davies is barely steady. I barely notice Lenglet in most games. That's as good as it is bad.
 
The great thing about Conte is players want to play for him. There is no excuse this transfer window not to get 2-3 good players for him.

People saying he needs to change his system well that is his system. It’s like hiring Pep and not giving him AM’s then telling Pep to play like Klopp. Won’t work.

The Conte project will live or die on good scouting and hard cash spending.

Not sure who came up with that but its wrong. Chelsea first season 93 pts, Inter 1st season 82 pts, Juventus 1st season 84 pts. So actually we're the worst on 79 pts. Still a very good tally concidering where we were.

I hate to say it, but it feels more like our only hope is that Royal gets injured and misses e few months. So conte is forced to play Doherty and give Spence a little more time. However, I won't hope for an injury of one of our players. So I'm hoping for a January window miracle, and that Conte actually plays that miracle. The next Cafu will do, thanks, Paritici.

Emerson gets criticism because he is not a good wingback. He is a capable if not brilliant defender and is hard working but a wing back needs to get forward and contribute to the attack also. If Conte was playing a flat back four he would be fine.

Sort of agree. He's defiinitely good enough to be in the Prem imo but low level. He'd be a great right back for a bottom half side ala AWB at Palace, because these teams just need someone who puts a shift in and makes tackles. Emerson's a solid athlete.

They'd cope with his god awful offensive attributes tactically. Teams like Spurs can't do that, we need that outlet whether it's in a 4 or a 5, even as a pure RB Emerson would never be good enough for us, or any top 6 team.
