Conte gone for me. Days are numbered. Not that i want him sacked, but he isn’t getting the backing from our gutless parasite owners and that bald shine headed toss pot, so he’s off end of season if not before

Levy has a big big choice to make. And it's sooner rather than later in terms of when he acts upon it.
If he wants to keep going down the route of hiring serial winners like Mourinho and Conte then he needs to actually behave like a serial winning chairman. Which is back these guys to the hilt, get them what they want, regardless of what it costs in exchange for short term success. That doesn't mean its pretty. Look over at Chelsea. They get someone in, throw money, get short term success with them and it crashes and burns. Perhaps a small lull period before bringing in the next big name to get short term success rinse repeat.
Our issue here is that he treated Mourinho like he was some kind of long term project manager in the same way he's treating Conte. Three or four transfer windows and we'd be fine.. Knowing full well that both these successful managers don't spend long periods of time at any one club because they're not satisfied with that.
Conte was never going to change for Spurs. Let alone Levy. He was never going to be satisfied with being a process manager like we had with Pochettino. Because Conte has a huge ego that drives his success. But he needs the tools to do so. We aren't providing it. And I think deep down he knows that.
So what does Levy do?
Does he realise he's fucked up, back Conte. Spend upwards of one hundred million and get players Conte needs and is happy with to compete and be ruthless for once? Or does he decide he wants someone who's here long term? Can get the best out of the squad he has and then rebuilds it every few years or so when he's happy to splash the cash?
Over to you Daniel. I have the feeling either way you're going to he making the wrong decision.
We got 5-6 new first squad players over the summer. There is really no excuse for the way we played.
If Conte needs a squad of 11 world class players to succeed this is not where he belongs
That would still be fast and exciting
rich and kulu injuries sort of forced him to play gil today, theres no way he plays if one of them is fit.I respectfully disagree.
Gil should be getting regular appearances of 20' a clip as a leadup into a start. Gil should also be getting 20' appearances regularly in case he needs to make start (bc of injuries). Even though he apparently did alright, he should not be getting starts out of the cold like this.
Shuffling the CB backline while reintegrating Romero after a month out is crazy. And Lenglet had put in a world class ball from LCB last game. No reason to shuffle the CBs like this.
To me the starting XI looks either weak-willed, desperate, or subtle sabotage. Conte should have figured out what his options were well before this, and have rotated players into form as a precaution.
Yes that's 6 or 7 players. Few injuries and we are done. What ooor squad?
This board wanks over Romero, Hojberg, Bentacur, Kulusevski, Kane and Son and generally has things to sayy about Perisic, Davies, Richarlison and Bissouma as well as Hugo for the most part.
How would it behave at corners & braking? Lol
Think I came to that conclusion after Newcastle we didn’t look like we had anything to offer outside outside sold piece individual brilliance which didn’t manifest.

i thought the back 3 was good today, the ref giving romero an early yellow didnt help. id rather them 3 than dier, he had to be dropped after the last game alone. you cant get away with shit like that and not be dropped.
Bissouma was an excellent signing that simply failed to assimilate. He got Perisic. Richi cost a pretty penny. Once Bastoni said no we really didn’t have any other options. And Spence could have been an instant hit if Conte would have tried. But we didn’t though. We got a cheapo CB on loan in Lenglet instead of splashing out what was required for a Top CB. We bought a young unproven RWB when Conte wanted a ready made RWB. Richarlison aside, how the fuck was Conte backed?
Well he got something right today thenManagers never come back from this sort of interview.
He’s basically saying the team is shit.
Anyone can be a world class manager when they can just pick whoever they want.
no i agree with that, id rather sanchez at RCB than dier at CCB yea. however sanchez is another liability and its always a worry. He should have played 3-5-2 today. If you're willing to give Sarr minutes, why not start Skipp?
If you're willing to drop Dier, why not try Romero in CCB (where he was great for Atalanta), and give Sanchez the start? I'd rather see Sanchez at RCB than Dier at CCB.
Bailey should have had an early yellow as well. Ref definitely played a part in hindering us today.
That would have needed another 100M on 2 top players. Instead we spent 20M and a loan fee.But we didn’t though. We got a cheapo CB on loan in Lenglet instead of splashing out what was required for a Top CB. We bought a young unproven RWB when Conte wanted a ready made RWB. Conte has got plenty of backing. He’s just not as good a coach as a lot of people thought or were led to believe.Conte gone for me. Days are numbered. I wish people would stop calling it 343. It's 523 or 532. It's 5 in the back line not 3.The one thing I would say is that I knew we’d struggle as soon as it was announce kulusevski was out. We’ve seen the impact him and bentancur have had to the side. How many times have they played together this season? 3 or 4?
There was zero options on the bench and he’s having to play son whose legs have gone. His replacement is also injured.
Today was fucking terrible, I wanted to go home 15 minutes in I was so bored. But I think there was mitigating circumstances. Conte is losing me because of his stubborn 343 formation which just doesn’t work.
he plays son out of choice anyway though hes proved that all year. The one thing I would say is that I knew we’d struggle as soon as it was announce kulusevski was out. We’ve seen the impact him and bentancur have had to the side. How many times have they played together this season? 3 or 4?
