Exactly. Even if we brought in Poch (or anyone for that matter) tomorrow, the story would then be that the new manager has to assess the team for the second half of the season to get a better feel for the needs of the team.

Based on his quotes about adding 1 or 2 60-70m players every window and previous quotes about 3 transfer windows, he was expecting another big signing this window
Plus a couple bargains. Then the same in the summer. Instead it’s only bargains this window.
That doesn’t mean we couldn’t have beaten Villa today with the team we had and Conte isn’t blagging it. He just doesn’t believe he can win with Spurs budget.

That was my only glimmer of hope from the interview, actually hearing him recognise the lack of creativity. Now there is a chance with the transfer window to try and do something about it.
