You were previously insisting that Poch was a done deal and we were all a bit muggy for considering anything else..... What's changed at your end?
You are prehaps seeing some other posters contribution. As I simply stated a journalist texted me that the club have spoken to someone called Alonso. If you look carefully you can see the bit where I admit I don't know who that is. So in what way is this indicative of a change on MY part exactly.? Also the club could be "speaking" to Mr Alonso about one of his players. ....HANG ON....

🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏Florian Wirtz!!!!!

Not today; over the past days and weeks.

Was it not you saying Poch is a done deal...... "Even Pep knows it....." etc.????

Doubt it would be Alonso, he's only been there a few months and it's his first proper job, and good result yesterday aside, results have been so so, performances also a bit hard to weigh up - although they played well yesterday.

Yeh, it WAS you Shotgunofmichalebrow Shotgunofmichalebrow

Having watched his sides and their flexibility I genuinely would take a complete punt on Gallardo but is Poch. 100% its Poch
Pep Guardiola told you all who the next manager was weeks ago. Why are you lot pretending otherwise?

It's Pochettino full stop out of work and in the country as is his whole bloody coaching staff...ergo no compensation. Two of Daniel Levy's favorite words. I have zero doubt he is assessing the squad as we write. Porro would have had his blessing and he probably is the reason permanent deals were not sort for Danjuma(attitude) or Gill( potential). Spence (raw materials)I've suddenly seen us linked to that Argentine shithouse keeper....it's Poch lads wake up.
Pep even alluded to not upsetting Pochettino again when he slagged us last week. Everyone his nan and Ossie Ardiles knows Pochettino is back in the summer.
This things over and for the people talking about the next manager not being Pochettino. Trust me it's Pochettino. Kane goes Dier goes and painful rebuild begins a pace.

They're already at it. It's simply wether it's City of Fulham. I suspect they'd like to announce his return wilst unveiling a minority shareholder, really spin the idea it's a paradigm shift. Truth is I suspect that Poch will ask for a minimum spend per window and consent on transfers in and out. I think the club will insist he returns abd committs fully to the buy young coach em up model of the early years. Its when now not if....

Worth looking back to Conte's exit from Chelsea :

Conte - “I have great ambition but I don’t have money for Chelsea,” said Conte in March 2018 after Chelsea had spent £240m on new players since winning the league.

“The club knows very well what my idea is, what my ambition is. That is very clear. When you decide to work with this type of coach, you must understand that you take a coach with great ambition. Not a loser but a winner. And that ambition must always be shared.”

So Conte dissing the Chelsea owners for 'only' spending £240m. No surprise then for recent outbursts. Always someone else's fault.

Before taking a new job I do my own due diligence on my prospective employers - I can't think Conte does less. so he'll have known the level of Spurs spend. And Conte's probably been backed more than any other Spurs manager.

Sure Spurs might have spent more - but Conte's not used Spence (last night Spence helped nullify Messi and Mbappe, so clearly talented) hasn't been used and nor Danjuma recently. Spurs and Conte were certainly unlucky in buying Richarlison and Bissouma both injured a lot this season, but that's not foreseeable, nobody's fault. Perisic very obviously a Conte signing, good for first 3 months but already looking jaded and not a top signing. etc. Not using Skipp or Sarr before Bentancur was injured - hence we were often fielding tired players in CM.... the list goes on

Conte's picking the team, deciding tactics and timing of subs, the team starting too slowly in many matches, tactics of not going forward so putting pressure on his defence and non use of subs is fully down to him etc are all parts of the coaches job. If those decisions had been made better we'd have won several recent games and been 10 points ahead of where we are now - even with this team.

So many of the issues really are about Conte. His job is to manage the players he has, and to get the best out of them. He hasn't.

TBF The buck stops with Levy and the board. Unless you think 14, soon 15 managers, many world class with proven records all got it wrong?
Nah. I'll give Levy a pass with this one.

If we were doing well and just missing out on success then fine but we're not.

We're playing awful football.
We only play to our potential once every five/six matches.
We're underachieving.
We need to improve the squad but even our top players are not playing well.

That's all on Conte for me.

I don't dislike the guy. I didn't dislike Jose. But I dislike their football and that's the clincher for me.
