They’ve done nothing, but that’s football. We have a manager who is determined to leave and players who are not enjoying his football ideas. That can’t work.
Our players being weak-willed losers is a separate issue that flows directly from Levy and the culture of mediocrity that he has fostered over 20 years. He is exactly the same as the players. Not focused on winning, turning on managers that he hasn’t supported, easily distracted etc. A team reflects the character of the manager but it reflects the character of the chairman too.
Conte is being fired essentially because he is more demanding than the players and chairman. He has made serious managerial mistakes as well but his ambition is the root cause of the problem. He asked for Bastoni and he was given Lenglet. Are we really surprised that we don’t win anything when a washed up player is our main CB signing?
Levy doesn’t make winning a priority so why would the players? Why are we paying £1500 for our season tickets? So that Davinson Sanchez can keep enjoying a slap-up breakfast at the training centre for the 7th year in a row?

I don't necessarily disagree. But these same players bemoan a lack of silverware. They don't want to work for it.
With all due respect to fans I don't get this happy enough to see exciting football how long will the joy last seeing us losing six goal thrillers not too long I guess .Obviously we need the the right balance but my main wish is we win the odd trophy even if the football is effective more than exciting.

Formation, tactics, style of play and entertainment, managing players game time, managing fitness and injuries. He seems to have got them all wrong on more than one occasion and continuously. I don’t think I’ve ever been as disappointed in a manager as I have been with Conte. All he’s been is a slightly better Nuno this season.

But the football hasn’t been effective. It’s why we rarely score in first halves, are always going a goal down and end up having to chase games. It’s because the tactics and formation at the outset have been continuously ineffective and he refuses to change it. Then it ends up down to the brilliance of the players, mainly Kane, to get us out of the jaws of defeat.

Starting to be a bit like Chelsea where managers take the job knowing theyll get an eye watering pay off when they are sacked. It’s actually a better job than the Chelsea one in that regard because the manager isn’t under any pressure from the top to lift a trophy.
