Manager Antonio Conte

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

I think it's more telling on Conte. This is quite unprecedented when a manager gets canned, it's usually the whole staff (they are his, he brought them in). It feels like that's him done in football now????.

The situation in Italy is bleak as he walked out on Inter. Maybe Milan is an option by there is NO money and they couldn’t be set up more differently from what he expects. And he absolutely trashed his relationship with Juve presumably still can’t eat at the famous €100-a-head restaurant. And Roma too with zero money and burnt on strict FFP limits.
That leaves PSG, and there's no worse match for Conte than that. PSG wants the Champions League at all costs, and Conte is notoriously bad at it. Maybe the Madrid clubs?

Levy's statement does nothing.........

What should he have said?

.......That we don't care about top four and we encourage all the players to be just butthurt that Conte just slagged them all off?

Ahhh.. Airfixx Airfixx in like a warrior to defend him

very odd that stellini stays.

How long has Stellini been Conte's assistant?

I think I need a few weeks before giving a reasoned opinion on Conte.
Thoroughly enjoyed him last season, and was so hyped for this one (I think the players were too, maybe that was the problem).

Last couple of months have been diabolical. Appreciate all the tough things going on in his personal life, but I've been seething at some of his behaviour. Particularly the hypocrisy, saying he would 'die for Tottenham', whilst simultaneously going in on the whole club like a wrecking ball.

Anyway, penny for Djed Spence's thoughts tonight...

How many more managers does Levy need to sack before some on here finally wise up to what the REAL problem is with our club?

2? 3? 6?!

Stellini until the end of the season is a club GIVING up on the season.

Kane, save your career and get out before we kill your chances of silverware for good.

It says it all about us that he is more likely to win something with England than with us and England haven't won anything since '66!

He performed a miracle last season with a limited squad. None of the signings in the summer have really blossomed - Not sure who to blame for that, but Conte would still be in favour if they had. I'm thinking Bissouma especially.

You might have noticed both Bissouma and Richarlison have been out for lengthy period this season - can't blame anyone for that. But neither seem to have lived up to their form at previous clubs I'd agree.

Lenglet has done 'ok' as our extra LCB on loan as none of our preferred CB's moved in the summer (except Bremer who wanted to stay in Italy). Has alternated between first team and bench.

Spence - Conte's choice not to play him. We saw him at Notts Forest and did fine, and again at Rennes keeping out Mbappe and Messi recently, so no reason not to use him more imo.

Forster - done well as 2nd GK when needed

Perisic - Definitely Conte's signing and did fine for 3 months, but seems to be finding PL tough to track back in. Has not lived up to expectation.

I'd agree that none of them, possibly bar Forster, have made that much of an impression on the first team this season so far - some down to Conte (Perisic and Spence), some to injury (Bissouma and Richarlison), That's life - but bench a lot stronger even though that was not the plan

No reason why Bissouma, Richarlison and even Spence shouldn't make a bigger impression next season, with Forster continuing as an alternate GK.

I'd suggest PSG

But they actually want to do well in Europe.

Stellini staying is certainly an unexpected turn of events.

and why is Masons odds so short? there's absolutely no way he will get the full time position if they didn't even trust him with the interim gig. Stellini has more chance then him ffs.

less then we were expecting? do you remember the state of our squad when he took over? I never expected a top 4 finish last season.
This season was way less than expected (he did a very good job last season post-Burnley).

We have regressed from last year, he had a preseason with new players, has spent the most amount of money than any manager in our entire history and the football has been almost as bad as Mourinho's = unwatchable.

Now, it could later unravel a bit that the World Cup was a big factor in how shit we were, there is maybe a case for this if you look at where Chavs are, where Liverpool are, that Man U are nowhere near with only +10 goal diff and getting spanked 7-0 by a faltering Liverpool. You can even throw into the mix Man City, because when you watch them they look a shadow of their usual selves (people are saying it's because of Halaand). The one thing in common here is us and all those mentions had the most mins played at the world cup by any teams in the PL (Woolwich the fewest by a mile). I have no idea how to prove this or if it can ever been shown scientifically because Clubs will not be sharing each other's data.

But all this aside we are worse today by a long way than we were last year!
