CB this. CB that.

Leicester City won a Premier League title with Robert Huth and Wes Morgan as their centre back pairing - I refuse to believe a Spurs team that have conceded just 1 goal from open play in their last 6 league games is bad enough that it can't win the league when last seasons league title centre back pairing just got 7 shipped passed them.

It's always about squad depth and luck. We certainly have the depth. If we can keep relatively injury free and get bits of luck that can fall our way we have every chance.

FFS we have Jose Mourinho as our manager - only 7 managers in the entire history of English football have won more English league titles than him and only 1 manager in Premier League history has won more Premier League trophies than him.

We have Harry Kane, arguably the most complete striker in world football. Gareth Bale, who has scored in more Champions League finals than we've actually been in. Son Heung-Min, one of the best attacking forwards in the world when on form. A World Cup winning goalkeeper in Hugo Lloris.

Believe.

What's the point of being a fan if you won't let yourself dream.

I say dream. Dream BIG!!
Too many people are afraid to dream. There is this sort of unconscious superstition, like "let's not name it, otherwise it won't happen". Bollocks. One thing is expecting to win and been devastated if we don't; the other is to surrender to the fact that we are fucking good, and we will become even better

Dream big, and enjoy dreaming big!

If you dream defeat, you are defeated twice: every time you have thoughts of defeat and when defeat actually happens

I have said it for a while now and i people have taken it as a joke , but I think we can win it this year , if we can get a bit of luck with injuries then It’s there for us , The Chelsea game will give us a good indication of where we are at in 4 games time

Watching MOTD for the first time in a very long time.

Watching the highlights and listening to Shearer and Jenas, I can't help thinking IF Bale is half the player he was when he left we are going to do some serious stuff this season (I mean winning trophies).

Why I think we got a chance:

1 Dippers and City are showing some cracks to say the least, and will not get as many points as in the last two season. Far from it

2 None of the other teams can improve much , although some of them (especially dippers and city have still a lot of quality)

3 We have reached a tremendous level of mental strength, and it's embedded in us now. There is no way back from what we have shown this week

4 We are very effective and can beat anyone. Not just. Now the players are playing as if they are expecting to beat everyone

5 We are at 60-70% of our potential. PEH is becoming a boss, and we have hardly started to see him with GLC and Ndombele together yet. Am I forgetting anything? Oh, yes: Bale hasn't kicked a single ball yet. None of the other teams have the same margin of improvement

6 We are managed by a master of the game in every respect, and now I can see that he and the team are working and thinking as one. The squad plays as if they were him, and he works as if he understands and knows everything about the squad

7 Squad depth

8 Dippers are suffering the lack of crowds more than anybody else (ok, debatable, this one)

Our defence can be a bit of a worry, and who knows what happens with injuries, also it's very early stage, but I think we got a chance

I am curious to see where we will be after the next four games, all more than winnable

As brutal as the schedule was, this last week looks to have done us the world of good.... And that includes the Newcastle debacle.

.....Add to that the timely reprieve of the buy against Orient and it feels like the road has opened up in front of us.

4 fronts... Let's see where it takes us.

COYS!!! :tobyarm:

Everton, Liverpool, Chelsea and Woolwich all dropping points on the same day that Man City and Man Utd both winning STILL sees them both behind us.

Tomorrow is huge for us.

We've rarely been in such a strong position. This year is going to all be about squad depth. And we have it in spades.

We just violated Utd with Lo Celso, Bale and Bergwijn not even on the bus. I've never felt so confident in our chances.

Before the season started I saw that we were 50/1 to win it, so I thought "let's put 20quid on it, you never know..." . I am looking forward to know now :tobyarm:

If we sign the CB we want then yes we can win the title this season (no doubt it would get cancelled due to Covid to stop us).

who is stronger than us?
It's such a mad season that it might not be about who is the strongest that wins it. Seriously when Leicester can go to City and wnd win 5-2 and Villa can thrash Liverpool 7-2 something weird is going on

Thankfully we have Jose and his mentality in charge of us. He should keep us up there within a shout

Of course we have a good chance, but the results against Newcastle and Everton can't be ignored. Those are the games where you should guarantee 3 points if you expect to win the title.

Lamela, Lo Celso, Ndombele, Bale, Kane and Son have all missed time through on going injuries and we cannot bank on them playing even half of the games this season across 4 competitions.

Liverpool won last season because their best players barely missed any football - TAA (38), Robertson(36), Mane(35), Salah(34), Firmino (38) , VVD (38).

Compared to us, only Winks, Toby, Moura and Aurier managed more than 30 games.

If Ndombele, Kane, Son, Lo Celso, Holberg can put into 32+ games each in the EPL; we have every chance of winning it. Adding Bale as our wildcard with 20+ games gives us a real head start.
