Great talent, poor fucker been used all along a shit back four, and I mean that defending as a team.

So is he a punt or a punt punt?Gray is a punt plus plus - since he hadn’t started a single game in the EPL when we got him in the summer. He’s not a punt punt like Oddobert or Bergvall but he’s still a punt. He’s certainly not an established player - He’s a punt that hopefully comes good. You can tell by the wages.
Buying established players and paying them established player wages isn’t Levy’s style (unless he think he thinks he’s taking advantage of relegation side Leceiater/Maddison).
Wages:
Punt Plus Plus
Gray - 75K per week
Straight Punts
Oddobert - 25K per week
Bergvall - 15 per week
Best Chairman in the Galaxy
125K per week
How do we even know he's a 6 when most of his senior football has come at RB?No idea. But I'd seriously doubt Gray ends up as good as Busquets because that's not how talent development works.
Development of young players isn't linear. Gray is doing brilliantly and is well ahead of the curve. Happy to just let him get games (hopefully more in his actual position) and hopefully continues to progress. I definitely wouldn't be shocked if he didn't end up as England's 6 because a million things could change between now and then and he's very far off it.
By chance I watched the 2005-2006 Season Review on YouTube a couple of nights ago. Rather good editing by the production crew really made that Jol side stand out, but also I seem to myself remember BMJ’s team being excellent, but the loss of Carrick was hard to overcome.sadly retired now
but certainly he left as Spurs manager at least a year too soon imo - but majority of Spurs fans wanted him out as he wasn't bringing instant success (even though his 2 5th places were Spurs best placing in almost 20 years back in about 2005), they didn'' like his subs ..........

Back on topic, Archie Gray will be a Top player. No doubt at all about that.
I barely noticed him tonight.
Which means, given the position he was asked to play, he absolutely fucking nailed it.
If it wasn’t for the defensive crisis we have.Id have liked to see Archie play in midfield on Thursday in that holding role instead of bissouma.
A good position for a team captain to sit too don't you think?
Agree- we don’t want to “Dier”ize him- it’s fine to occasionally play players out of position, but it seems you can really screw them up playing in other positions for long period of time. Why not just use him once for Bissouma at CM when everyone is healthy? The guy so far out some decent performances on every position he was asked to play. Let's see him at CM.
My concern is he will be cast as defender and we never get to see him play CM. With a run of games at CM, he might be the missing piece we've been looking for in ages. His demeanor and calmness might allow him to help the team to control pace, rhythm of the game.
Dier played #6 and CB for England and in his prime we could have sold him for 50-60m, which is 70-80 in todays money.Agree- we don’t want to “Dier”ize him- it’s fine to occasionally play players out of position, but it seems you can really screw them up playing in other positions for long period of time.
