We’ve been anything but soft since Poch walked through the door. What a silly reaction to yesterday’s game.
Fuming about the performance? Definitely I am. We didn’t show up and for the first time in a long while they seemed to be more up for this fixture than we were.
Let’s not forget we also had the spine of our side out/unfit yesterday in Toby, Wanyama, Dembele (struggling), Kane (clearly not 100%).

Don't think being soft comes into it. Naive yes in the sense they didn't think the scum would come flying out the blocks and press us non stop from the 1st minute when in reality everyone knew that was going to happen after all the talk in the press of combined XI's and power shifts. Woolwich raised their game yesterday to a level pretty much unseen this or last season and it took us 45 mins to react to it.

Although I think the performance was down to having unfit or rusty Dele, Kane, Dembele and Winks .
Sissoko stood out becuase he was at the level the others are not at yet.
Midfield is important and we had one fully match fit midfielder.
Our defence could have contained them without Toby. having that many passengers on the pitch, including a very clearly jaded Eriksen, is not going to cut it in a NLD.
Thing is we can’t afford to rest Dele, Kane and Eriksen.
City could get away with resting Aguero, Sterling/Sane/Jesus and David Silva.
Yeah sadly as the team gets better the fans get worse, I bet some city genuine fans enjoyed being in division 2 in 1999 on the way back up having a laugh together at maine road, now surrounded with plastics and tourists

Although Poch bought our club back for the fans, it has bought with it some massively inflated expectations
No, we're just not as 'elite' as some people think we are. We are still over-performing and at our best we are much greater than the sum of our parts, holding our own against much wealthier clubs. But the perceptions and expectations about us are very warped and inflated. It shouldn't be that much of a surprise that when we are a bit out of form, after a heavy schedule of big intense matches and multiple injuries to our already deficient squad, that we would lose against an Woolwich team full of expensive stars who were actually up for doing their jobs for a change.
Beating Real and BD was strong performances, mentally and physically . Thats were we are, thats the level we have reached. Yesterday, Utd would sit everyone behind the ball and play for the point. Poch plays his way, we play our game looking for the win and when we fail, we get nowt. Its not about weakness its how you are set up. we didn't do much wrong. Woolwich were faster to every ball yes but never came close to taking the lead until the refs intervention. We were coping in our way with their huff and puff and playing ruff sort of way.. We played the offside perfectly and they never looked like they were going dominate the game. Watch AW and he is a bag of nerves before the goals because he knew they weren't making the break through. You are either on or off side and both goal were off side. Its down to luck and judgment. Weakness no - the way we play yes. It was just one of them days when every element of the game went against us.
I think the media are also winding a lot of our fans up with "they have to win something" line.
It's only us they say that about, they completely ignore that Liverpool have only won one league cup in the last decade.

Again, by the end of season when Woolwich have given their stars away to Juve or Munich or somewhere and the Woolwich in crisis is in full cry when they finish 5th, they will again not even remember or acknowledge the THREE FA Cup wins they have got in last few years, meaningless to them so why is it do or die for us?

Sammy come on you know the expectations are higher than then, the realistic even minded expectations i think a lot of people said is top 4 and have a good run in champions league, remember people we have no fucking home ground, the home ground that gave us a record amount of points last year, you should expect some regression this year probably.
So that means yes we get one less point at the emirates, and I still think we will finish top 4 no problem
So far we are having an amazing CL run and are in top 4 so I think we are meeting expectations, which with no ground and less spend than Woolwich and Liverpool is still incredible
